Are Shard exchanges coming?

Im sure I saw it somewhere, but cant for the life of me find it again.
Are shard exchanges also planned soon?
Reason I ask is I have a load of shards for a couple of 550 characters, and would rather use those shards on a different 5 star, but if thats not going to happen in the near future, I will dupe the character for the 5* rewards (and maybe 5to6 ascension if thats ever a thing.)

    They teased that as #comingsoon but never followed up on it.

    The Cover Exchange System is still early in its development along with many of the other features that we’ve outlined in our recent 2025 Roadmap. Please give it a shot and let us know what you think!

    At one time, the devs replied it would be around end of January 2025. Obviously that didn't happen.
