Okay, that's just laziness. It's been repeated at least 3 times in a row now. They probably feel obligated to run it again and again because it was so popular back then. Thing is they've fallen so far behind as metas that it can't be considered good fortune anymore.

If they put out a store with Shang Chi people are gonna complain regardless coz most have already max champed him.

The Good Fortune store started running in 2020, so 5 times it has run, with the Okoye/BRB/Apoc running 3 times now.

The first run (2020) featured Okoye, presumably because she was "the best" and it would be good fortune to get her? (it also feature Iron Man and Captain Marvel, who were not the best).

The second run (2021) featured Okoye (still the best!), and Onslaught and Deadpool (released in 2020, so a second chance for them)

The third run (2022) featured Okoye / Beta Ray Bill / Apocalype (all the best?), and has been the same the last 3 years.

This actually caught me off guard too. Internally, we thought we had this planned without last year's missteps, but something fell through the cracks with the Year of the Snake vault. Yes, snakes aren't exactly in the same category as the reptiles, but we don't have many actual snake characters to pick from. The shards definitely could've had a more festive tone and should've been swapped.

All that being said though, this year's Lunar New Year vaults will come in 2 parts since it isn't just a one day celebration. The current vault is specific to the Snake zodiac and we'll have a second "Lunar New Year" vault next week running from 2/5/2025 - 2/11/2025. This vault will focus more on the Asian characters in our game so you can expect a few runaway favorites who pack a heavy punch that cut through the stars.

In related news... how is the 550 Shards cover swap feature coming along? I have a 550 Shang with 11 covers worth of shards. In the off chance that he's featured in next week's vault it would be nice to know if I'll ever be able to convert his shards or if I should just start a dupe.

The "new" Iron Fist is actually Asian, so he could be an option (he was previously known as Sword Master if you want to look him up).

I may be one of the few but actually enjoy Venomsaurus Rex. He is at 527 for me so appreciate being able to get him up a couple levels with the shards in the current vault.

I believe the connection, at least in the first two runs, was that they chose characters with red on their costumes. Red being associated with good fortune in Chinese culture.
