Ability: Psychic Knife
General Notes:
This ability is one of the poster children for the “speeds up on use” type gameplay, and does pretty well when teamed with other Strike generators. However, it’s pretty weak on its own at 8 AP (since it’s balanced around the idea that it’ll often be faster), and even once it’s sped up, it’s still pretty slow with a 5 AP minimum. So lowered this to 4 and changed numbers accordingly.

Psylocke gains momentum, fluidly chaining attacks together. Deals 856 damage and creates a strength 128 Red Strike tile whenever fewer than 3 exist. Costs 1 less for each Red Strike tile (min cost 5).
At Level 2: Deals 1678 damage and creates a strength 148 Red Strike tile whenever fewer than 3 exist.
At Level 3: Creates a strength 205 Red Strike tile whenever fewer than 3 exist.
At Level 4: Deals 2636 damage.
At Level 5: Deals 3458 damage and creates a strength 333 Red Strike tile whenever fewer than 3 exist.

General Notes:
This ability is relatively slow in modern gameplay, and it comes with a Countdown tile in order to actually make its ability functional. This ability, as a result, rarely gets used and even more rarely goes off in a useful way. So we’ve changed it to a Passive which has the same mechanics. Increases strength of SAP tiles, then goes and tries to steal AP. This turns it into a kind of hybrid of Falcon’s Yellow and Hood’s Black Passives, doing both fairly well while using a color that often isn’t otherwise used for these types of abilities.

Psylocke steadies and channels her telepathic power, reaching into the minds of the enemy to disrupt their attack. Creates a 3-turn Blue Countdown tile that steals up to 4 AP from the enemy’s largest color pool and increases the strength of up to 3 random friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles by 64.
At Level 2: Increases the strength of up to 3 random friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles by 96.
At Level 3: Increases the strength of up to 3 random friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles by 107.
At Level 4: Increases the strength of up to 3 random friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles by 139.
At Level 5: Increases the strength of up to 3 random friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles by 203.

At the start of her turn, increase the strength of up to 2 friendly Strike, Attack, or Protect tiles (in that priority order) by 48. Then, if any enemy AP pool is greater than 8 AP, steal 2 AP from the largest enemy pool.

General Notes:
The ability does what it says on the tin, and is fairly effective for what it does. But numbers have gone up a bit since the dark ages when she was originally designed, so these new values keep with the times.

I personally would entertain the notion of, maybe "ok" when ascended now. She's definitely better, but most of it is in her blue passive, and the red ONLY if you start with strike tiles and a red battery of sorts. At 5 stars she is almost as good as the 4 star British version
This does really highlight the standard power increase gap between 4star and 5star. 3-4 her black goes up by 260% but 4-5 goes up by another 550%. This is why the 4star tier is useless unless they have crazy good abilities (and mostly passives).
All the sassy feedback aside, I definitely appreciate the rework, I like the passive and the damage on the red (kinda silly it nerfs back at 5ap for 5star though, that 1ap reduction was NOT going to make her upper tier).

Red is a big number for (potentially!) quite cheap. Remember for 672 numbers you're looking at the 550 number x2.5 (or so?). She also gets a useful passive, and her black is, well, better than nothing, I guess.

Psylocke is still 4*, at lvl350, but my highest 3->5 is Deadpool at lvl539. Magik is lvl522. I don't think I've bonused either of them ever. It's totally doable.

This is a great rebalance since everything got better.
The Blue power makes her a decent tile buffer. Plus you have a chance to steal AP though that's rarely going to happen.
She will make a very nice partner for players in the 3 star stage or early 4 star stage when paired with anyone who makes SAP tiles (Daken, Cage, Fist, Blade, 4 star Grocket etc).

The new passive is very nice, but attack tiles as a whole are kind of meh. They require WAY more work to get going. Fist support is either throwing out tiny **** ones, or boosting them all. We don't have anyone like rocket or BRB to get the ball rolling, and no support (remember those?!) like low level AI or lucky.

Sometimes you can preview them on the character early, sometimes not.
In this case you can't...not yet, anyway. I think the release of the rebalance and the costume are actually both on Thursday Jan 30. Nothing has changed yet.
