I'm sorry but this is a joke and HURTS! This was on turn 2 against a level 497 Nova, 435 Hawkeye with his bow and a 570 Gorgon

Fantisticar literally beat me on its own that's just too much!!!?

What's the point in investing in these characters and building them if one support makes it impossible for me to come back on TURN 2?

What do we think? Allowed in PVP or no? And if so, to this power level??

I'm not sure if this is a Polaris problem or a Fantasticar problem, or both (some sort of nerf to Fantasticar would probably see it replaced with Thanos Copter eventually, so I lean towards it being more of a Polaris problem, but I guess "some of both" is probably correct).

I think these kind of random losses or near-losses are pretty "feels bad" moments that they should try to avoid creating. Sometimes you fight that team setup and they don't do anything, and sometimes they just cascade you to death turn 1.

I almost lost to a mthor/riri team in shield sim with no supports. The ai just lucked into a huge cascade of green ap and stunned my whole team forever. Sometimes bad luck just happens. But on the other hand when you are using the fantasticar or thanos copter and get a never ending cascade of matches it feels pretty awesome.

    RNG is just gonna RNG.

I wonder if there is a way for support level to factor into RNG since a 5* support is still fairly uncommon for people to have, and can make such a difference in play.

    It's definitely a Fantasticar problem.

Yep, I was thinking this too.

If you want to be able to win fights turn 0 or turn 1 (and I think a lot of players enjoy that!), then you're going to lose some fights turn 0 or turn 1. That's just how MPQ PvP works.

Just add an option to any battle to allow players to spend resources (health packs, ISO, HP or some combination of those) to resurrect fallen characters in the middle of battle. Obviously would have to cost more than a single health pack that you use outside of battle.

This means you can never lose if you are willing to spend the resources. It also means you can over come any amount of AI bad luck cascade as long as it's not a total wipe.

At launch, MPQ gave you 3 chances to win every fight -- in a rematch, you used health packs on your guys, but the enemy team kept their health from wherever you died. I don't remember why that was changed.

I don't know how something like that would go over today. It's kind of a catch-22 -- we like constructing teams that are strong defensively and generate wipes, but also really really hate wiping on offense.

It was Shang Chi that destroyed my whole team with the additional matches more than Polaris :(

I like this idea. Building supports is just as important in the current meta but to lose THIS hard against a team that is fully maxed, synergises well and has supports as well just shouldn't happen. A way to resurrect would be an awesome compromise of sorts. But on this occasion, they still had another two turns of Fantasticar fu**ery if I'm not mistaken, still prob would have lost lol

RNG is definitely gonna get you sometimes (like Bri said).

Not judging (this exact thing happened to me once, "never again") but, did you look at the supports before you went in? Not sure of your roster and supports, but perhaps could have been better prepared? Nova, Hawkeye is a pretty low tier team to take against 2 of the best characters with one of the best supports in the game. Judging by that setup you may have wanted some good defense, which there is no shortage of good ones for match damage (Jugg, Colossus, Switch etc.). Frog could have also immediately protected you?

That being said, I regularly mention Car being at least as good as Frog (in my opinion). It's my number 1 support (very close to finishing level 5 Chopper, for villains). Shang Chi is also just broken strong.

Bring leapfrog to every fight. I was assuming that you had it and got chipped to death by a Polaris cascade that came in under the threshold per hit.

It certainly gets much less useful during his boost week.

If you mean unboosted Omega Red...he dies before the first CD resolves. Even if he doesn't, it's going to take him a LONG time to chew through 800 or 900,000 HP. Meanwhile the cascade teams can ring up 200 or 300k in one turn fairly easily.

I'll take my chances with leapfrog.
