This is utterly tinykittied for one reason.

Yet again some folks are able to score some points while others are unable to connect. An aquaintance of mine was able to complete two matches in the PvE in between connection errors for 400+ pts. In a low point PvE with a pretty hot prize the final results are most likely going to be greatly skewed towards those lucky enough to get a few matches in. Depending on how long and how widespread the intermittent outages are some players may well have lucked into scoring some 'free' points by getting in matches if the nodes refresh partially or in-full before the servers are stable again.

I was unlucky enough to be able to finish the very first node, unlocking all the rest, right before the outage. So my bracket is set and it will be interesting to see the leaderboard once I can connect again.

Inconvenience and annoyance is one thing but potentially getting screwed out of a cover or covers for a new hero that will be no doubt a requirement for upcoming PvE and PvP events may well make more players walk from the game.
