Illusory runes not working?

Agatha's illusory runes repeater is by definition supposed to deal great damage when destroyed. They do nothing at all when matched. Do they have to be destroyed by other means e.g. a match four that removes them?

Update: I can confirm that a match 4 does the intended damage, so they probably work as intended.

    I think it's meant to be a counter against enemy board destruction powers, and it works quite well for that purpose.

    Golden-age Torch's red is awesome. I wonder if he'd make more repeater teams viable if ascended (mainly thinking about Ronan here, but I'm sure there's others)

    Lvl493 no boost

    It feels a little weak to me, but it is AoE, and 8AP isn't TOO high.

    Jim Ronan and Green Goblin make for some hilarity. All the ones that are fortified still count for Jim's bonus damage but only lose their fortification. Not to mention Ronan's repeaters start doing some serious damage. It's just too bad that GG is so weak comparatively.

    It also works well with her OWN power. One of her blue's (I forget which color) activated power will destroy 1 of your special tiles and 1 of theirs.

    They're actually pretty consistent with this terminology - many powers say "matched or destroyed," but if it just says "destroyed" it does not activate if it is matched.
    A pity (particularly when your opponent matches the tile,) but still pretty good, especially since she herself destroys it under some circumstances...

    One exception to that is 5* Iceman though. Both his Green and Blue say “destroy” only, but they proc on both matches and destruction. Not sure if there are other characters like that or he’s the only one.

    I’m not fully committed to this because there are 1083 powers in the game (so like I’m not about to try to audit all of them) as of Thursday 12/26, but maybe Demi was less precise with power descriptions than BCS is.

    BCS should adjust 5 Ice so that more powers are consistent with descriptions. It’s better for players to know what to expect / what’s behaving as expected, and isn’t.
