Dumb question:

Since they have obviously worked on all these characters and going to introduce them; why not ask us in which order we want them?

Bonus dumb:

Why don’t they do this with 1, 2 & 3/5 Star characters?

Because some of those releases will be contractually mandated in terms of certain characters so we are getting them whether we like it or not.

I think there is also the definition of "worked on". I'd expect they all have some level of character design, outline of powers etc, but I doubt they've all been coded, tested and are ready to drop into the game. It takes a lot of effort to get them into the game. I expect most of 2025 has been set out already of which there'll be limited scope to add multiples from this list.

I'm convinced (and this is going back a looooong way) that Kate Bishop was supposed to be 4* Daken. I think it was planned and then art was adapted.

Blue/Black/Purple like the 2* and 3* before

Blue: A power that prevents healing (Daken's pheromones)
Black: Hits hard but hurts himself (Berserker rage / "Heat" drug)
Purple: Strike tiles, then destroyed strike tiles for bonus damage (2/3* Daken blue power)

Marvel exercises a great deal of control over their mobile game devs -- usually to promote whatever show or movie is going on, but sometimes for comics as well. If you keep an eye on the other games, often the same characters get added around the same time as MPQ.

There's other Marvel-related nonsense too. I remember when Fox still owned the X-Men and those characters were totally off limits to MPQ, for years.

Yup, that was the time when they were trying to push the inhumans to replace mutants and they retconned Wanda and Quicksilver to no longer be Magneto's children. Glad that terrible time is over.

I understand the releases in concert with movies & such.
But you can’t really believe that they pick 10 characters, ask the fans which they want; then wait for the vote to begin working on the characters mechanics?

Especially since in years past, several lossing characters ended up in the game.
