  1. Jumpstart hasn't been run in almost a year, for as expensive as it is to play in the first place and as the ONLY source for most of the cards you can get by playing it, is there a reason why we aren't seeing this event come up, like at all?

Answer: As we built our weekly event rotation, Jumpstart did not find a place in it. Now we reserve it for special occasions. No spoilers!

  2. Why is there no new Revolving planeswalk events being run for the newer sets, it would be nice to have a place to get packs from the newer sets outside of DMU and BRO...

Answer: We have been developing other kinds of events instead of continuing with the RP series. Every new set is available through some event, even if they are not daily. As for daily events, we have other plans too.

  3. Can you explain the triggers priority rules?

    Triggers Priority

When multiple cards from different places trigger their effects at the same time, the priority order - unless said otherwise - is:

Creatures (from first position to last) → Supports (from oldest to newest) → Hand (from oldest to newest) → Graveyard (from oldest to newest) → Exile (from oldest to newest).

Whenever a card’s text directly contradicts this rule, the card takes precedence.

For example when a creature enters the battlefield and both it and Authority of the Consuls trigger off of the creature entering AotC used to disable it before the creature could trigger to prevent its effect.

Then for a little while it was changed because since both cards trigger off of the same event and the rules say creature gets priority it was changed so that the creature's effect would resolve before it became disabled.

Soon after due to player feedback AotC was reverted to have priority and disable the creature first and prevent its effect. The card text for AotC wasn't changed though. It stated at the time that the rules would be updated to make AotC’s effect consistent with the rules.

The rules update made was adding:

“Whenever a card’s text directly contradicts this rule, the card takes precedence.”

How does that new sentence change anything? The priority rules already included a clause saying “the priority order - unless said otherwise”. The cards could already set their own priority by simply stating what it should be, so this rule update seems redundant.

How does this justify that AotC and cards like it such as Torpor Orb have priority over creatures triggering even though their card text doesn't say that they do. When reading the card text you have multiple cards from different places triggering their effects at the same time and none of the cards say they should trigger with nonstandard priority so why doesn't a creature that triggers off of entering the battlefield trigger before these supports that disable them do? I couldn't find any rules giving priority to disable effects or any rulings stating particular cards have higher priority.

For “Creatures (from first position to last)” my understanding is this means the active player's creatures from bottom to top and then the other player's creatures from bottom to top. Is that correct?

For “Supports (from oldest to newest)” I've never checked to see how this is actually working. Is it tracking when the supports entered the board or is it based on their position on the board like with creatures? Do the active player's supports trigger first like it does for creatures?

For “Hand (from oldest to newest)”, “Graveyard (from oldest to newest)”, and “Exile (from oldest to newest) does it really track how long the cards have been in that zone or is it positional and triggering them from top to bottom off of the list it displays when you look at the cards in those zones? Again do all of the active player’s trigger before the other player's cards?

Answer: When we say 'Whenever a card’s text directly contradicts this rule, the card takes precedence', it means that in certain cases, a card must break the original pattern of trigger resolution to function as intended.

A good example of such exceptions is cards that attempt to stop other cards from functioning, like Torpor Orb and Authority of the Consuls (AotC).

If these supports followed the default priority rules, they wouldn’t work against the creatures they were designed to stop. To ensure these cards function as intended without changing the broader rules, this exception was introduced.

All other effects should follow the order defined in the Gallery of Rules and Definitions.

Essentially, the rule ensures that intended card designs take precedence. If a card is made to stop creatures and it’s not a creature itself, and following the default rules would prevent it from working as designed, we may make an exception to allow it to function as intended.
