How are you guys even getting the advanced and master support tokens?

Season rewards and alliance rewards at the end of bosses if your alliance is in top 25 (formerly top 10).

I've pulled several 5s from the master tokens. Only 1 from advanced.

That makes sense, I guess. My alliance finishes like #300 or whatever, so I never get these.

I guess I'm a little confused about why the top .0001% of players are THIS concerned about a little waste. You guys have to be drowning in rewards!

They are quite rare, unless one is in the habit of buying support bundle offers. Not I.

My alliance finishes t100 in heroic boss events. So that's ONE purple support token / month. Before these events, such pulls were even less "common".

Over the years prior to support shards, I had pulled five 5★ supports. While perusing other "big" rosters to collect support data, I never saw another roster with five, even the biggest players and spenders typically had only two or three, so I had been VERY lucky!

Since shards, I have raise nearly 20 more to 5★ ... progress has greatly increased!

Before shards, I had like two or three 5★ supports (in about 2 years since starting to play). I got those from the Puzzle Gauntlet tokens which I think have like a 5% (1/20) shot of pulling a 5★, and I think you get two of those support specific tokens each season. Of course, since you have no agency on which support they feature in the Puzzle Gauntlet tokens, the 5★ supports I had were not good.

I'm not sure if I've ever pulled a 5★ support from purple support tokens. I pull all support tokens as soon as I get them, so with shards plus the boosts from some of the community challenge events, I've now got ten 5★ supports and I was able to focus on the ones that helped my play.

I have seven 5-star supports. Five of them are from Puzzle Gauntlet tokens, and two of them were promoted from 3-star via shards. It's definitely a slow process.

Suggestion ... use shards and time token pulls to first get all supports rostered, then second to push all of them to at least 3★, and then start pushing priorities to 4★ or 5★

This approach will increase the flow of shards you are receiving, speeding up progress.

Also, read those 5★ perks. Most of them are terrible. Don't push a support to 5★ unless it will really make a difference. Save those ranks that are only good for increasing levels for last. 1600 shards is a lot, only bother with those that will have an impact. Most can be parked at 4★ or even 3★, greatly reducing the scale of the whole project.

Just to add to this point, getting a support to Rank 5 and putting in the RIso will increase some of the lower rank numbers, increasing the chance of free AP as an example. If that's why you run certain supports, it may well be worth it, even if the R5 is awful.

This doesn't account for reward shards rolling over (at the half rate) into favorites for those that you already have at 5*. Won shards for non-5* supports just land on whichever one they were actually for. These accumulate pretty fast if you play PVP and have a number of 5* supports already. It's much better for your game to go after those that will help you where you need it, there's absolutely no point in pushing everything to 3*

I am a daily 5 star player and I only have two 5 star supports (both from Puzzle Gauntlet). And I barely get any support tokens. I have no idea how people already have so many Supports maxed out. Heck I still don't even have Ero's Arrow. haha
