Importance of a 3 to 4* Ascended

Help me understand/clarify:
I got a 4* ASCENDED "anyone", and I have a lvl 266 "same".
What's next to do?
1.- Get a 2nd "same" up to 13 covers, champ, ascend and then get 300 covers for each 3 to 4* ascended
2.- Sell lvl 266 "same", and get 300 covers to champ 4* ascended

Thanks in advance

Mathematically correct based on maximizing rewards - get a 2nd same to 166, then to 266 and merge the 2 266s. Then level the new 303 4* to 370, and merge 370 + the 270.

2nd case level 271 to 370 and merge with 270.

Depends how constrained you are for roster slots, HP and Iso-8.

If constrained for any, I'd sell the 266 and use new covers to add levels on the ascended version. If not, just add levels until the ascended is 370, then build the additional dupe, otherwise it'll sit there not getting any love for a long time anyway, so you may as well be 13 covers towards the max ascended.

On example 2, it depends what you want to do longer term with your roster. For example, I plan on having a 550 3Hulk5, a 370 3Hulk4 and a 266 3Hulk, so if I had four 3Hulk4s, I'd probably sell one for now because it's not doing anything for a decade. Some might keep it to further ascend and have two 3Hulk5s but I can't imagine any world where I'd need two that far into the game....

I have a 295 4a3 Hulk and a 270 4a3 hulk already rostered. And just pulled another one, currently sitting on the vine.

For me to max max hulk and get him to 550 5a3 it would require 925 covers. No way am I coming close to that number of covers in the next 10 years. let alone 625 covers if I go the max and 270 route to get him to 450 5a3 hulk.

I am leaning towards rostering the 4a3 hulk adding three covers and then selling after that. Or just outright sell him while on the vine.

I’m planning to eventually try to have one of everyone at every Star tier, that way if we do ever get events locked to certain ascension levels it won’t be an issue. These pre-ascended 4* characters are truly saving us a fraction of our lives not having to chase, especially the 1 and 2* jump ups that you can’t favorite, so I’m trying to find room on my roster for them. Just another perspective, no right way to manage a roster really.

You hit right on the spot, I agree with you (Hulk related issue), I will get the 3* to 266 and sell it; then get one 3to4* up one spot and sell as well, then keep the remaining 3to4* Ascended to stay
