Bite Down on Crime gives +2/0 for each reinforcement

Bite Down on Crime says it gives your first creature +2/+0, however each one I put into play gives another +2 power. So, if it's reinforced twice, it gives +6/+0. I have not destroyed my first creature to see if the buff resets when it needs to power up my next creature.
