“On your paws! I’ve been fighting in these fields for more seasons than you’ve had hot dinners!”

In Bloomburrow, seasons shape the lives of animals in diverse and profound ways, influencing their behavior, physiology, and interactions with the environment and each other. These adaptations are crucial for survival and reproductive success in this plane.

The node features two similar supports, one under each player’s control. These supports represent each Season of Bloomburrow and players must adapt to their effects in order to gain advantage.

The supports are:

OBJECTIVES

  • Win the Fight!

    • Win the fight against your opponent!
    • Reward: 200 Mana Runes, +5 Score

5? 5 or more creatures with power 2 or less? 5 or more Creatures with any of those subtypes?

5 is like... a lot. Can we not have these high numbers like 5 please. They tend to make events a slog.

Maybe summon would be to easy...

The number of available creatures that pass both objectives is very limited and are mostly common once.

The new Garruk with his first ability is a good choice to start with. Alternatively Domri's 2nd...

Summon is generally a lot easier than Cast, isn't it, often you can cast a single card which will fulfil an objective (e.g. In the Who's the Killer event, a single cast of Abuelo's Awakening is capable of summoning all 5 spirits necessary to complete the objective)

Converting 'Cast 5...' to 'Summon 5...' is one way of making this event less of a slog, although, might I suggest perhaps 'Cast 1...' or 'Cast 2...'

Objectives like this, I would argue, have two effects on your game:

    1) IF you want to achieve the objective, you must include a card (or cards) in your deck which you otherwise might not
    2) While you are playing the game, you must make sure you don't win before you achieve the objective

Now both these effects can create useful variety of gameplay within MTGPQ, but I think it's important to recognise that effect #2 can be problematic at times, and can lead to extended games with players destroying their own creatures, slowing themselves down, as they hunt for the cards necessary to achieve their objectives. While this kind of durdling activity might appeal to some, the majority of players I talk to find it tedious.

'Cast 5...' and 'Cast 2...' both give you the desired effect #1, on deckbuilding, but 'Cast 5...' is far more likely to create tedious durdling busywork games than 'Cast 2...'

A note: searching for 'Rat' creatures to play in this event is a bit of a pain, because the search shows up any card with the three letters 'rat' anywhere in it's name or card text, including:

    • Pirates
    • Anything with Proliferate
    • Anything with Celebration
  • We at least have a few Changelings that could be used in Standard, two of them being colorless and both common 2-power creatures. Omo is a Masterpiece though, and a tricky one to get at that being PM2

If I could request one thing it would be to change the power to 3 for the Weakstone objective. It opens up a lot more options for the Tiny objective (about 16, it was hard to find the Rats just like Janosik said).
