I renewed my VIP yesterday and noticed that my costume was Lady Deadpool.

That costume was the 1st consecutive month VIP reward. Have they looped around on the costume and are re-doing ones? Or has something gone wrong with my consecutive month VIP count (I got the expired notice when I renewed since I renewed exactly on day 30 but I've done that same thing with renewal many times before and never had a problem with the consecutive reward continuing).

It was the same for me. Surely they could have given us a different one considering how many are available now.

It's the one I got when I renewed 10 days ago. Hope it's not lady dp again for me in 18 days...anyway, the lady dp costume was also the 4th(it was one of the early releases) costume given away when they came back to vip. I just assumed them giving the costume again this vip was to coincide with the movie release. Why one of the handful of other dp costumes wasn't picked, who knows? And everyone is on a different vip schedule due to signing up and/or renewing on different days so repeating it seems unnecessary no?

I can't fully remember when costumes became part of VIP, but I do remember when they used to be repeated over and over again (I think the 5ock costume is one of these, along with Lady Deadpool). Lately it seems like it the cycle of offering for each was just about the same amount of time as one VIP cycle. I think the costume on offer changes at the same time for everyone, and the question just comes down to when you renew because as long as the change occurs every, say, 28 days then every player who keeps VIP going would see each new one, or at least have the choice to get it.

I had one I missed a couple months ago because the change occurred just before my VIP was expiring and I waited a few days and so when I decided to renew, I got the next one.

But now it's just the same one repeating for a bit.

It's hard to say why the costume wouldn't rotate although if they keep offering older costumes for cash as they have been doing lately, you can see why they would want to basically only give you the same one (or the HP for the dupe). Then you are incentivized to spend for one you want and don't have since you wouldn't expect that just waiting would pay off. (I think a lot of players have VIP as a baseline of spending and anything else is extra).

It's also possible they would eventually offer different VIP tiers and the higher one would have a rotation of costumes.....just another idea.

Finally got the chance to check out my notes and here's what I've got. On 7-3-24 I got 5* Okoye Deep Cover costume. I got the Deep Cover costume again on 7-31-24.

Now the only other time I've renewed vip in the same month since the costumes were reintroduce was back on 8-2-23 and 8-30-23. I got the 5* Loki Goddess of Lies costume and 5* Doctor Strange Defenders costume.

Not sure what to think since repeating wasn't an issue before but seems to be now. I'm currently on day 19 of 28 so I got a lil bit before seeing if lady dp is repeated for me or if it's a different one now because it will be purchased in September.

I renewed...yesterday...? the day before? and got the Red Goblin costume (dupe for me).

So they've updated it as of 9/16, at the latest.

Just checked the VIP today and it's Red Goblin costume again.

I wonder if someone at bcs is keeping track of the costume each month? 99 costumes according to the list Scofie made, it should be years before a costume gets repeated.

There used to be 3 in the monthly vaults but those have dropped to 1 for the last few months. Normally there was only 1 in 3 of those I didn't have but the extra 500HP was nice compensation when getting the others. There is a balance between the initial impulse purchase and earning them in game - they don't actually do anything so waiting to get them for free needs to be sufficiently far away for them to be worth buying them.

But there are many that I couldn't even remember existed when I made that list (some of them I had!) so there is plenty of existing material and at least 1 a month being released at the moment to create a real pipeline. I'll ask about it in the next Q&A.

I wonder if what IceIX said in the August Q&A (q26) is true. They are doing the updates to the game engine on the back end, resulting in daily deals, vip..etc being affected because how they were previously coded. To me it does not make sense for these bugs/issues to be affected now. Best course is to report as a bug/ or email CS or ask in next month's q and a.
