Poor 4* Peggy. Kilgrave's Blue passive renders her Yellow one obsolete because while hers can increase firing costs by 4 compared to his 3, his gives you 3 AP if the enemy does manage to fire a power.

His Purple will be so-so at 4 star level but once ascended should make him really great because the 135% passive increase will be based on 5 star match damage instead of 4. The active stun component is a rare combo where the stunned target takes all the match damage while stunned.

I guess he'll play really well with any reviver since his purple passive puts them in front if he is taking damage of any kind.

Black is the obvious power you will run at 3 covers since it's kinda useless unless you have a damage booster like Okoye/Apoc etc.

P.S. Shield Training is going to really be annoying with him since his Purple won't be usable and that's his best power since he could stun lock the opponent for an easy victory.

If active abilities played a larger part in the game, you could run them both and increase the AP cost by 7.

Will this trigger if the enemy fires the passive part of a power? (Dr Strange's yellow, for example)

You could add Shuri and reduce the cost of your own team's powers by 3 while increasing enemy powers by an additional 3 for a total of 10

I would recommend not assuming that his 135% boost will be that high if you ascend him.

It might be, but we have seen numerous % based powers reduced when ascending.

That said, his health is low so that might mean they leave it alone.

That match damage power is worded so oddly that I really don't know what it does. It says it increases allies' match damage "up to 135% of his own". Does that mean his allies get their match damage set to Purple Man's match damage +35%, or Purple Man's match damage +135%, or their match damage + Purple Man's match damage +35%, etc?

In the second part of the description it sounds like it's just giving everybody +135% though.

I think the idea of that passive is that he won't tank any colors (ie convince others to fight for him). So it's increasing his allies match damage in his primary colors to 135% of his own (not by +135% of his own) so that he doesn't tank those colors. So for example looking at his purple match damage (170 @ L370), he'd set all his allies purple match damage to 229 (170*1.35). Presumably if they were already higher than 229, nothing would happen to their damage since they already exceeded the 135% of his damage.

It's not going to be much of a boost at 4 star level. Even as an ascended 5, all it will do is set those colors to 135% of his own so that he doesn't tank which is a minor increase (35%) in 3 colors.

Just realized that all his countdowns (5 from his Purple power, 10 from his Black power) all appear on Purple tiles.

Since these are friendly specials, it should allow the insta-downing of target if 4 star Gamora is on your team,

Right, I thought that too...it's not a very strong power for players like us.

Except, in the description of each level, it says this (at lvl5): "increase allies base match damage by 135.0%."

Definitely one of them (the initial power) or the copy / paste descriptions for L2-5 has a typo in it.

I'm assuming it's the L2-5 and that they should read "increase allies base match damage by up to 135.0%."

Doesn't it say up to 135% of HIS match damage? So if his match damage is much lower than his allies, there is no boost? If so, then he's not helpful until ascended at the very least

Edit: sorry looks like this has been said already

It's just worded very weirdly. Someone will have to test in game or ask the devs.

Would be quite nice if we got the actual 4 star announcement on the official forum but I guess its fine.

I read it as the other character's match DMG + 135% his match DMG. So, you're basically getting match DMG from both characters, just in one hit.

    I could be wrong.

I like the kit. The passives look tough.

CDs that do damage after they resolve are not usually great though.

Yep, this goes back to the overall communication from BCS. Poor.

If this isn't evidence they should leave some of the forum running to me I don't know what is.
Although it would sort of be like letting father Dougal McGuire do a funeral.
Bonus points for getting the reference

True. But the Black ones at least have a nasty surprise for MThor in that each time one is destroyed it reduces the counter by 1 on all the others so she could easily destroy 2 and trigger 8 more damage ones on her immediately. Since they are repeaters and not CD's she could do this multiple times.

"Double everybody else's match damage," "add his match damage to everybody else's" and "set everyone else's match damage to 4* level" are so far apart that they completely swing the character evaluation.
