Boosted characters
I returned to the game after a long hiatus. I'm adjusting to the new stuff, but we've now had 8 cycles of boosted characters and I haven't had a single champed 5* boosted. Can we maybe jumble up the boosted characters each season instead of going on release date order alone?
It not only limits who has boosted characters, but also combos people may try with different characters boosted together.
Seems like a really easy fix and would break some monotony.

There is some hope they do this at some point and we are nearing the end of the cycle, so soon we will see all the oldest 5s boosted, unless they take the opportunity to make a new list.
However, it also requires some extra work for them to jumble it up, so I wouldn’t count on this frequent request being addressed.

The problem with mix-n-match is that for the most part the older 5s are very inferior to modern ones in terms of match damage, health etc. So putting OML in the same boost group as say Colossus or even mediocre 5 like Kaine is going to make OML dead on arrival.
So they've chosen to keep them grouped together so that boosted group is at least sorta kinda the same in terms of match damage, health etc.
I can't imagine they'll change things until such time (if ever) that they do a blanket update to the 5s to bring them all roughly in line in terms of match damage / health and ideally power damage.

That’s certainly a good point.
But they do update the 5s somewhat sporadically which results in a much stronger one mixed in with the others just based on match dmg.
Idk why they can’t just do say 5 old 5s a month with match dmg and health bumps, you could be done in about 6 months with the most needed ones and the tier would be much more balanced.

I think the main argument for mixing up is not all players have all the 5's champed. OML might be terrible but he also might on a boost list be usable if you don't have Colossus. Most of us here don't tend to suffer too much in lacking options but it can't be a bad thing to mix and match the groupings.

Unless as DAZ just pointed out you have OML and not Colossus or Kaine, which is my situation. Better to have a boosted OML than 2 other new 5* I don't have. If you're in the tier of folks who have 550s and all the new shiny toys it wouldn't affect your gameplay at all.

From the game systems/developers' perspective, all 5* are the same power level, and the only distinction they've shown regarding rarity is "characters in Classics" vs "characters in Latest." They consider all characters in Classics to be equally rare.
There are all sorts of problems with this, obviously, but that's how the game treats these characters.
