Devs, explain it to me.
I have more than 3500 days in the game played.
Why should I continue?
Why should I give more money to you?
We are 2 years into the "developers who love the game"
But not much has changed.
We have been given promises of a new engine and many other wild assertions.
When can we expect for the game to get "better"?
You all have been cryptic as hell, and I am ready to move on.
As a spender, I am tired of giving you guys money. Tell us what your plans are, because I am tired of guessing.

In general, if you're asking "why should I continue" with this game, the answer is "you shouldn't."

I'm asking the dev's what is the motivation for me to continue and also give them my money.
I am not interested in other players opinions, even though they are valuable.
I want to know what the dev's value proposition is.

Feeling this to some extent as well.
The new pve promised was massively misleading, a few new dialogues don't make a new pve and then to run the normal and the new and improved on the 8th has impacted my game time ,
They want us to run the same thing 3 times is madness.
Do they not have a narrative director? It can't be this hard to come up with new stories.2 -
100%
I Love the game, and now I am ready to walk away, because they have not fulfilled their promises after 2 years.
I am tired of waiting for their empty promises.
Give the community a roadmap that is understandable and can be achieved. We are tired of **** communication and we expect more.
Tell us your plan.

Hey all!
Firstly, congrats on the huge milestone - that is a ton of days played and we're honored to have you!
I can't answer all of your questions. Some of them are downright personal choices. I can certainly speak to a few of the points you raise, though!
When you say not much has changed, allow me to agree and disagree in parts. Personally, I think that if you take the trajectory of the game prior to the involvement of the new devs, we have seen some pretty marked differences. We have brought lapsed events back into the fold. New boss events. 3* characters are back in rotation. Ascension as a feature. Supports came back, along with an improved means to level them up in a targeted way. Supports have made their way into PVPs, etc etc. Alot has happened.
On the other side of that coin, we've done alot less than we'd like. The reason for this is largely due to the state of the game. A 10-year game is difficult to update. We've been working tirelessly to literally rewrite the whole of the game to make creating and maintaining content for it seamless. We have a vision of regularly releasing new events. We're talking completely original narrative writeups, not reskins. Initially, my target is to do at least 6 of these a year for starters.
I'm not sure exactly where we have been cryptic, but apologize if that's the sentiment. I have posted in numerous responses what the present timeline is for the engine overhaul (looking like early next year at the moment) and the types of changes that the overhaul will make available (which largely seems to encompass the changes you point out wanting).
Hopefully this provides some clarity and offers some insight as to where we are and what the intentionality of our decision making is. For the most part we want the changes that the players want, and are eager to complete the tech that will make the upcoming years of MPQ the brightest and most vibrant yet!

They keep using the new engine as an excuse not to add features, vary stories and enemies, etc... "We'll be able to do that when the new engine is released".
At this point, I'm a little nervous that they're going to shutter MPQ and release it as a brand new game. If they truly have put two years into its development, that's huge $$$. The best way to generate an adequate return would probably be to force all the whales back into spending by starting everyone at zero.

Is coming in 2025Now your question
Why keep playing.. cause you know you need this game In your life
Why give them any more cash. Cause if you don't they will have to go back to mugging the goons in the game
Really though only reason I see
Playing the game.. I only do like 10 mins just doing the quest. No longer care about pve or pvp
Cash. Only cash I give them is 1 stars accended to 5
It would not shock me if this new engine they go. Steam is no longer supported

I appreciate the response. I would like to know what the direction of the game is going forward.
There is an engine update coming. I understand that is hard work.
What is the goal of the update and what can we expect after that?Is there a preview of what is to come for us? We have just ran DeadPool v MPQ twice and its coming again.
Anything beyond the next month(every month) has been cryptic. I understand cards close to the chest and all, but maybe you can give the community a peak at what you have been doing. Also what you envision the game to look like after the updates.
It is common for live service games to give future looking updates, and I would really like to understand where the game is going.
Thanks

Hasn't even been considered past day one of starting in on the engine upgrade. And even then, it was a question of "Should this be in place or a new game?" "In place, no question." "Ok, moving on then."
No plans for MPQ2, a reset, or anything of the sort.

Bro, I got you on this before. If you are going to engage make it at least understandable.
I know you have great insights into the game, but my lord you have a terrible time expressing them.I know you will blame the pills, but c'mon buddy beginning, middle, and end.

Good to hear, because I feel like that would just be the death of the game. Marvel Avengers Alliance tried doing this and no one who invested years into MAA1 wanted to start over. MAA2 died shortly after release and then MAA1 closed down not long after that.

Tell me about it. I played MAA1 from near day one through to the heat death of the Avenger's Alliance universe. I tried MAA2, didn't feel the same, but at least MAA1 stayed around! Till it didn't.

Ideally, the first build of the engine upgrade will go out and no one will even notice, or if they do, they'll just notice a couple updates we've already built into the base code of the new engine. Same platforms, same or better performance out the gate is what we've placed as the baseline.

My issue is they, imo, waste time working on things the players don't care about or haven't ever requested. Auto-fire, remember that useless feature? Ascension, rewards are great but the character numbers are all over the map. And the retro rewards that come from it are a mess too. Supports in pvp is destroying that part of the game. Cool we finally got a way to level them, but the rate it can be done is dismal. I have to keep a hoard of tokens to get the new one when it rotates in because I AM NOT PAYING FOR IT ahead of time and rng is always a bug a boo. In general have the new toys completely ready to go before launching, tired of being a game tester. And still waiting for that monkey business tu bug to get fixed, guess thats the engine fault too.

Thanks was worried it be something like my friends been playing on their tablet. Offline play works great. Put 50 bucks into buying stuff. Upgrade time and boom now only works online that was a waste of 50

Are we going to get highly needed rebalances faster? Is the ISO economy going to fix itself with the new engine? Are we suddenly going to get ascended character info across different tiers?
You have absolutely no idea how excited I was after the takeover, Devpool was all over the place doing cartwheels answering questions left and right, for some time it really felt like there was a genuine care for the game.
Despite all the additions to the game, literally all the features that were introduced are sprinkled in P2W:
Ascension - great feature on paper, too bad it came with the 10, 40, 76 cover packs and the "ascension" deals and loads of bugs/features and we literally don't even know which is which;
3 stars back into rotation - great feature on paper, too bad it puts even more strain on the already strained ISO economy. But hey you can get enough covers and iso to champ the newest 3 star on release for "only" 30 $ - isn't that convenient.
Costumes - great feature on paper, too bad the majority of them are paid to get;
New supports - great feature on paper, too bad the only way to get the newest support at release is to cough up the $;
New ways to earn iso - great feature on paper, but you guessed it right, the only way to get canisters or multipliers is to spend the green;
Support rank ups - great feature on paper, too bad you're only ever getting meaningful amount of support tokens once a month, unless you pay up of course.Should I continue?

I learned a very, very long time ago not to expect anything when it came to MPQ developers, so I'm never disappointed.

Re: Domitronas
In all fairness, a LOT of the costumes have rotated into vaults. You have to wait for them, but you can get them. I have a ton of costumes that I didn't pay for.
