We capped the soft launch test to 1k redemptions so it was always intended to be redeemable to only a few players. Stay tuned for more codes soon!

I think he may have been referring to the code that gave out a free 3* Devpool cover.

There was more than one code?

oo, they deleted the posts with that info. Yes, there were 4 codes that I saw:
RECRUIT - 2 tokens (not the good ones)
SUMMERINTERN - Devpool cover
MPQDISCORD - 20 hp
DEADPOOLWOLVERINE - 3deadpool cover, chimi support shards and maybe something else small4 -
Getting all the Borderlands Shiftcode vibes from this. Free stuff is always nice. Thanks @S0kun!

The first 100 people who pull their pants down at the alligator farm get a big surprise lol
Really though so the items will just be gifted when you log in or are we going to get some sort of mailbox in-game where we will have to claim items.
And will the codes have time limits meaning like one code per week/30 days

Love the alligator farm comment.
So far, as soon as you enter the code you are prompted whether it was accepted or not. If accepted, it will tell you "you will receive the rewards the next time you sign in"; that was true for my alliance and I, so no mailbox. Also, when you log in, it tells you which code the reward was for, so there shouldn't be any confusion there.
I reckon only the devs know how the limits will work, but I would imagine most (if not all) will have a timeframe they work for, as well as special codes (like they did here) for X amount of uses.
I'm picturing a Redit or something where they track all codes that get posted in other locations... perhaps a thread on the forum, wink wink. It feels like the admins saw the other codes posted elsewhere, then posted em here, but removed them since the site was locked as soon as they were exhausted.

OK whoever is flagging slidecage give it a rest yeah? He's not saying anything anywhere near worthy of a flag.
Also if you flag me you are sort of proving my point. Leave the flagging for serious breachesClemFandango has no authority here but also in real life

Looks like I missed the window, but this is a cool addition anyway!

I missed it too. If this is gonna be limited time based on US time zones I am probably screwed but hey will see what develops.

Approximately 50k or so play.
If every member of the top 50 alliances grabbed the freebies, that would be 1000 people.
8,379 alliances played Galactus Heroic, but the majority of them are under 20 players.

Sure, a small scale soft launch is something that you might have thought was a good idea. Moving forward, you should probably think very carefully about adding time/size limited FOMO giveaways and the ratio of excitement to frustration that they create.

The two extra codes for the Deadpool covers were apparently from some data mining? Or may have been? And shouldn’t have been public. I don’t know exactly what happened there and I’m sure it was posted here in error/not knowing that.
So that may be partly why the shutoff occurred, since one code was for Devpool and he wasn’t in game yet, and they seem like codes the devs would want to give out today to celebrate the new movie.
Anyway I agree the code cutoff should be higher when it’s fully implemented, obviously. Hopefully just a time limited thing (like say a week) or at least something more like 5000 available to encourage engagement but allow many of the most active people to get them.
Also none of the things have been make or break for game progress, nor should they be to make it feel fun but not unfair (a tricky line).
