VIP6: canceled subscription, benefits lost

So, I've spent like 190€ to a mobile game over the last 6 months. Got some neat stuff to play around with. Decided to cancel subscription for the time being.
Now, I have lost my VIP6 status and can't craft any masterpieces anymore? Really? I repeat: AFTER HAVING SPENT at least 190€.

Devs, I hope this is a joke

    VIP status goes down by 1 level for each month that you are not subscribed to VIP. This is intentional, and if you go below VIP 6 you cannot craft MPs.

    Going ingame into my profile shows me no VIP level at all. My subscription ended at the start of this month. So by your words I should be VIP level 5? How can I confirm that?

    Yeah @k1ck4ss_mtgpq I’m so sorry that you found out this way. If one lets their VIP lapse (even for a week!) it will reset back to neutral.

    This game is a scam and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is probably trying to sell you something.

    In the last eight years of playing this game, I have learned that the only way to win is to literally not play. I play casually so it’s not that big of a deal to me, personally.

    But I do acknowledge—even if the devs don’t—that we can’t really afford to lose our top competitors like you.

    I don’t want to face you but I want the other players to face you because every loss they experience bumps my imperfect score closer to the top.

    I’ll miss you.
