I wonder why they never put a cool down

What I mean you can only use. X. 30 (enter number here, ) times today. Or after using it it locks behind a countdown timer .. mostly making you use different teams
I doubt this game is even set up that it could be added
Or everytime you use x they lose 1 percent of there power .. they regain that power say every 5 mins (all powers reset on the 24 hour thing ,)
Maybe then you start seeing different teams in pvp

Probably because players would hate that. Ftr. I see loads of diversity in opponents these days. Even in Sim last season the ubiquity of Thor finally receded as more and more big Omega Red, ascended 4s and May boosted teams hit the scene.

alot depends on how your roster is built. rember the 3 years you were on break also meant the "default" profile also changed. Who really knows how mmr works now. but plenty of people have big teams that float.

With the new season quests we're forced to go outside our so called comfort zone of characters in order to complete them.
But locking me out from someone on my roster, no thank you.

They had cooldowns on support swaps. They added cooldowns on shields.
Cooldowns suck.
Hamfisted band aids to patch up cracks in poor design.

the "cooldown" is character health and health packs, there are just a billion characters and healthpacks are pretty easy to come by when you've been playing for a long time. I think they deliberately looked at play-timers like you'd see in early mobile games and came up with a more elegant and organic solution to that than "played five games, wait 3 hours or pay for more" like you used to see.
