New players - do NOT spend money buying HP/Iso
If you are enjoying the game, keep playing like you have been.
If you feel inferior and want to spend money to upgrade your characters, stop right there. If you upgrade your 3*'s, you will destroy your enjoyment of the game. Matches will take *much* longer to finish, your heroes will take 7+ hours to heal, and you will NOT be able to keep up with lvl 85 2* teams in the tournaments.
Socialism at its best - You get punished for working hard in this game and investing in improving your team.
I invested money in this game to support the developers and hopefully encourage a PQ3 standalone game down the line, but wow talk about buyer's remorse. At least in other p2w games, you pay to get over an obstacle in the game. The more you pay here, the more difficult the game becomes.
Can I make a recommendation? how about tiered events?
1* teams compete for 2* rewards
2* teams compete for 3* rewards
3* teams compete for 4* rewards
This way we get an incentive to keep older characters, to finish covers for lower level characters (some of us are avid collectors). Stop handing out 1* covers like candy...and make the characters interesting. The tiered approach allows us to compete against others of similar level, and we can build towards rewards that are proper for our level. If I have lvl 120 3*'s, I should NOT be consistently losing to 2* teams in tournaments. It makes no sense in any tournament in the world.
Once you build enough 3*'s, then you can start entering 3* tournaments for 4* rewards
Spread the awesome character design for new characters amongst the ranks. Enrich the 4* selection, add some 5*'s. Make us keep our 2*'s going to earn the fun 3*'s...
I want to love this game again.

Keep in mind the game revolves around the three star characters. So, if I had the choice I would always go to the 2-3* matches. I have three maxed 3*'s and many more with 3/3/3 covers. There are so many more three star characters for me to get. Besides, the 4* characters are worse than the 3*s in my opinion.0

It's not a rant on the internet if politics aren't artlessly shoehorned in.0

I think you are misunderstanding socialism. Socialim would be "You get a 141 Lazy Thor! You get a 141 Lazy Thor! Everyone get a 141 Lazy Thor!"0

Leaving aside the question of whether Oprah is a socialist for a moment (!?) this post is spot on. I played this game constantly and achieved great things with my OBW and Ares (paying about $40 total) and finally switched to three stars when I had two at 141: classic mags and punisher, which I'm told is maybe the second best offensive combo. (Only paying for one cover in the process.) This game is now a total chore and I got about 500 points in the last few pvp tourneys. I'm pretty sure I'll quit within the month and all that's keeping me going is the hope that they'll fix this before I fall too far behind to care anymore. (More likely they'll nerf mags to oblivion and fix nothing.)
Anyway just another voice saying that this is THE major issue that needs fixing: three star progression. Up until now this was a fun game that I'd invest time and money in and had no plans to quit. And now it just feels like an unproductive time sink and I already have a job.0 -

Unfortunately that's what happened to me and I got caught in the expenses whirlwind.
Now I am trying to find a new way of enjoying the game because I find the Season thing boring now. My Alliance is supporting me a lot when I am a bit down Thanks to them.
I was on the edge of quitting a few days ago. But I want to be patient, and hope for better days. My quest has always been to max up characters and get new ones and play with diverse teams (which now happens).
I feel the situation is unfair when I play hard and a lot and I gather very few points on the PvE (Mohawk), but that changed this morning and I did not understand what happened. My ranking changed all of the sudden. And I was happy again.
My advice would be : spend ISO and HP when they are on sale (which happens very rarely), but do that for 3* only. The 1* and 2* will level with what you earn.
Playing with 3* can be very cool.0 -

You guys know that Socialism is not the same idea as Communism right?
Communism is about equality and hense uniformity, but doesn't work because of human characteristics that lead to corruption of those with absolute power.
Socialsim is about a state being controlled solely by corporations and economy as opposed to government. It doesn't work largely for the same reasons as communism and because profits are usually hindered without exploiting workers.0 -

That is literally the exact opposite of what Socialism is.
so·cial·ism (noun \ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\)
1: a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies
2: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
3
a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state0
