    The problem is that Sony think they can do an MCU with these characters by introducing them before joining the dots with a Sinister Six type movie but the truth is that the movie going public won't care enough about them without the Spider-Man element. We need to see that they can't defeat Spidey alone/have a reason why they join forces - with these individual movies there is no connection or reason to care unless the movies are outstanding which they have really not been.
