Spell Card

Discard the last 3 cards from your hand. Then, draw 4 cards. For each Spell card discarded this way - Deal damage to your opponent's Planeswalker equal to that card's base mana cost.

It says that it deals damage equal to the card’s base mana cost but if the card’s mana cost has been increased or decreased it's dealing damage based off of that modified mana cost not the base mana cost.

For comparison cards such as Fiery Emancipation or Storm the Festival which also have effects based on base mana correctly use the base mana cost even if the current cost of the card has been modified. Spells with convoke are an easy way to test this.
