Serious Performance Issues Since Last Patch

I've having serious issues with app since the latest patch. It takes a good 5-10 minutes minimum to load the game. It sits spinning for most of that time at either Checking Connection and/or Loading Assets.

This happens every time I try to open the app since the update. I even deleted the app and re-downloaded it (iOS). Still does the same thing.

Additionally, the game is not processing and loading assets even once it IS running. When I play a match, I am able to play but it seems to be having serious issues displaying card art. Cards would play onto the board but would be just blank black tiles with a power/toughness.

Other art assets are also not loading. For instance going into the event screen, 3 out of the 8 on the list aren't displaying art. Same 3 each time I load - Trial of the Planes (Red), Training Ground (standard), Trial of the Planes (Green).

When I just recently loaded after the daily refresh - so today (11:12pm EST) the Daily Rewards "Collect" entry was a blank black square but it functioned, opening an MOM Booster Pack Reward, but that too came up as a blank black square. No art. I just now tried to open the pack, and I am getting cards but None of them have card art. Just blank boxes. The rest of the card is there, just no card art. All 5 cards were like this.
