Cloak/Disguise creatures causing errors

Playing with a Cloak card for the first time in Face the Hydra 1-3

I had a Beloved Princess and a Forum Familiar (Cloaked) in play

On my turn I filled with mana a Commanding Presence, and a Celestial Flare

I was not able to target either of my own creatures with the Commanding Presence. That's not right, is it. Ward means my creature gains hexproof, and that should let me target my own creature.

I was also not able to target Greg's Defender creature with Celestial Flare.

In both these cases I was able to highlight the creature itself as a target, but the actual 'select' button was gray instead of green.

On the next turn of the game (my Cloaked creature having died in combat last turn) I was still unable to target my creature with a Commanding Presence, or Greg's Defender with a Celestial Flare. I was also unable to target Greg's creatures with my PW Calix's 2nd ability.

On the _next _ turn, 2 turns after the Cloak creature died, I was once again able to correctly target creatures with spells.
