And so the time has come, my days of burning the candle at both ends to win the latest covers are no more. I've been on hiatus for the last 10 days or so, seeing what life in the real world is all about, as well as actually trying some other games and spending my hard earned money elsewhere (PaD, I'm looking at you). I can honestly say I have not missed this game at all, with the exception of the company of the fantastic crew I've run with the past few months.

I'm not quitting the game outright, oh no, I've spent far too much money and time building up a roster that was once the envy of many! But I simply cannot justify waking up at 4am every time a new character is released, nearly always as part of my working week. It's just not sustainable in the long run. I logged in this evening to see the latest new PvE and new release. The finish time? Yep, another 5am'er for us hardy souls in the UK. I'm sorry, not for me this time. It's the straw that broke the camels back, no more can I take.

Running with S.H.I.E.L.D has been an utter privilege, to be selected as an inaugural member was an honour and I can honestly say that each and every guy and gal on that team is a consummate professional and a top person to boot. The streak we had as a dominant force in PvP was a real rush. The run to 2000 when kyip, that was adrenaline like nothing else I've experienced with this game. But I just don't get that feeling right now. The allure of the game has diminished. I've stood down from S.H.I.E.L.D as of this evening, with a heavy heart it must be said, but also with the belief that the team will continue to play with pride and when the need arises, will still kick **** at the top of the charts. To all the great alliances out there who have challenged us, the Deadly's, the X-Mens, the Django's of this world, to name but 3, I wish you all good luck too.

So, that's it from me, I am a serious player no more and renounce all rights to the forums Insomniac Title. I may pop in now and again, see how the game is getting on and all that. Perhaps one day, the game will become EU friendly and I might get serious about things again... A man can dream.

I thought you were the original gamebreaker until I realized that whoever is at the top of the leaderboard in Lightning Rounds -always- gets matched up with low-level opponents. Sorry to see you go.

It was a pleasure to get to play alongside with you Ladder. I still recall quaking and hitting the skip button a little too quickly when I began and saw your team pop up. I'm willing to bet your thread title is misleading. It just won't be MPQ getting or keeping you up at odd hours.

You will be missed. You've always been one of the pillars of awesomeness in the community.

If you like PAD, and want something a bit different, I recommend checking out Dragon Coins. Made by SEGA, it's a coin pusher game with the similar mechanics to PAD.
