Account backup on Facebook

Just got a message to switch over to Google backup because Facebook is going away. When I make the switch, I'm taken to the beginning of the game. As in, 10 years of progress...poof...gone.

Please tell me I'm missing some way to migrate my Facebook account over to Google.

There is 0% chance I'm starting over again after playing this game for a decade +.

Just tried this on android, had exactly the same experience. Logged in via Google, lost everything back to square one. Screw that. Given the amount of money I've spent on this game I've the years, I IMAGINE they still want me to play, so there better be some fix coming soon...

Similar story here: on Facebook shield rank 192, switch to Google and Shield Rank 2.
They had better come up with a FoolProof solution to al sorts of problems before scratching facebook backup.
