[Ignore] Rewards from "Battles from the Ages" are ~~not~~ random

Update: With the recent run of "Battles from the Ages" the RNG has broken its streak of awarding The Filigree Sylex and has awarded a Mythic and Masterpiece in the the two events I played. So I was either having run of bad luck when it came to prize packs, or something changed behind the scenes. Either way, it appears that my claim has been disproven.

The last (not the most recent) time the "Battles from the Ages" event ran, I paid my 100 yellows and ran through the matches and earned the prizes as expected. Before opening the "special-non-duplicate" pack, I checked to see if there were any new cards in the pack. It turns out there weren't, so I was prepared to receive a duplicate. I remember thinking "Ha, I wonder if I'll get The Filigree Sylex since it was the last card in the list."

Imagine my surprise when my "random" card turned out to be The Filigree Sylex.

So when the "Battles from the Ages" event ran again (most recently), I had the extra yellows, so I gave it another go. And guess what "random" card I received? Yep. The Filigree Sylex.

"Okay," I thought, "One more time." I figured that if lightning struck thrice, that would be enough proof that something was amiss.

Sure enough, lightning struck again in the form of a third The Filigree Sylex.

I guess my question is whether this is by design or not? That if you have collected all the cards in a non-duplicate pack, that the card awarded in a prize pack will be the last card in the list? I certainly don't speak for everyone, but I was under the belief that these were "random prize packs". Anything other than that seems... oh, what's the word I'm looking for?

It's random but it's current a 31.15% chance of getting a rare and there are only two rares in the pack. With them each having a 15.575% chance of being the card you get, you're going to get a lot of copies of The Filigree Sylex and Tablet of Compleation.

Okay, I'll play along and acknowledge that what I'm experiencing is because of percentages which is something I hadn't considered prior. It'll just require additional testing to prove otherwise. Assuming it truly is random and not a bugged pack (because that's never happened, right?), I should eventually see something other than the Sylex.

In the Feb 10 (2024) run of "Battles from the Ages", I played the event twice to completion and was awarded a mythic and a masterpiece from the special prize pack. Since this disproves my claim of the packs not being random, I've updated the post title and the post itself with this information.
