Is it just me, or does new storm terrify you?

The only thing scary about Mod Storm is her red. Because I like to fight on Jungle/Desert enviros boards constantly. It's very hard to deny the AI 5 AP of anything. (If her 3* red stays at 9AP it will hardly even be a factor.)
That being said, I've fought lvl 200+ Modern Storm plenty of times in PvE and it's not very hard.0 -
It just seems to me that anytime I fight her, she gets her green and red before I get anything, and then the cascades, more casts, black, the other characters then have their abilities...
The only way I can consistently beat her without requiring healthpacks after the fight, is by boosting blue, using cstorm and trying to windstorm before she gets anything.0 -
Assuming Mistress stays at 9 red, going from 2 match 3 to 3 match 3 is a very long time in MPQ. She's still quite powerful but that seems to be reasonably priced overall.
Now, Storm on Desert/Forest is still likely to lead to a 'first use of Mistress ends the game' but it's fairly well known that these environments have absolutely broken powers and D3 did said they're planning to change them eventually.0 -

I wouldn't be surprised to see the enviro change come next week before mohawk's released.0 -

I'm on the fence until I see if she got the Steve Rogers treatment or not. It may be an entirely different ballgame then.0

I still find it baffling that someone at the beginning of the design process thought, "Yep, Forest/Desert and Latveria are balanced."0 -

3 strength 3 strike tiles or 6 green tiles added to the board? Sounds pretty fair to me!0 -

I dont feel desert or forest are broken at all. Broken would imply something that doesnt work and these seem to work great. If any of them are broken it is Latveria and City which are not worth using once you get past low level 1* stages of the game.
Unless of course 'broken' is some new fangled slang like 'sick' which actually means good LOL
Okay i am half joking, i do understand what is meant by this but I really dont get the usage of the word 'broken' in these contexts and it always slightly frustrates me when I see it0 -
I can all but tell you what you see is what you are gonna get. D3 has stated before that they no longer like AP reductions as upgrade costs. IW was the last in that department. And if you noticed they haven't don't anything with AP reduction since her. The only way the do AP redcution now is through the skill itself, like Psylocke or HT's red. There are 2 unwritten rules D3 has now with characters if not more. 1, nothing below 5AP, and 2, cover upgrades won't reduce AP costs anymore, with IW being the last of that.
So yes, Mistress of the Elements is gonna be 9AP, and that's fair. The sole reason is going to be forest and probably desert a little bi. If MotE was 5, you could cast it, in theory gather enough forest tiles to get all the AP back, cast lightning strike to blow up enough tiles, to have enough forests, to cast MotE again and so on and so forth. At least at 9AP it stops that endless cycle. So for the increased cost you are at least going to get some decent damage for blowing them up, plus you are gonna get cascades.
I'm planning on going 5/3/5, mayble 5/4/4. But I want my Storm to be able to counter Sentry and nothing will do that better than 5/3/50 -

Broken means just that, broken. If you used Magnetic FIeld and it instantly kills the other team, that'd be considered broken. If it instantly killed your own team, that'd also be considered broken. Something can be too good or too weak to be broken, but generally most people don't care about the too weak kind. If Magnetic Field instant killed your own team, you'd just stop using Magneto and cut your losses.0

I can certainly see posts like "people abusing Magneto to instantly lose the game with max boosts and then end up with only 1* opponents!"0 -

Hey phantron, yeah I knew what i meant, like I said i was half joking. I am probably too old school cause i just dont like using a word that means something doesnt work in relation to something that works in my favour But thats just me.
I am looking forward to getting Mohawk Storm if i can place high enough, or maybe they will surprise us again like they did with Sentry and give her away as a reward, fingers crossed for that cause i am gonna have problems playing enough to hit top 200!0
