It may be because you are selecting everything in the same column. You have to differentiate between your first, second and third picks. If you are accessing via mobile, you have to swipe over to see the third selection field.

I would have much preferred a 5* Paste Pot Pete but what chance would any other characters have against him and his gluey schemes of gumminess?

A bit disappointed that Maximus isn't in line for being a 5*, but still my top pick has every vote may make characters more likely to show up some time! Kid Colt / Arizona Annie as 2nd pick for novelty of western theme & more duos. Toad would be a gamble for art, so I went with Sauron 3rd just because he looks cool.
