    considering when a character is required in a PvE, on SCL10 you get... 4 covers per Pve for a 4star, VS 1/2 of a 5star... they'll level up fairly quickly.

    EDIT: i did the math.

    baring bonus shards, it takes 167 Latest Legend tokens to get 500 shards for a 5 star. with that same amount of tokens opened, you'll get 2505 4star shards, or 6.26 4star covers.

    From the feeder-chart of Angela it states that she feeds Odin now.

    But where is Namor in this chart as current primary feeder for Odin? (Normally other connected characters are always stated in this schematic as well)

    I wouldn't be too concerned as this probably just means we have a very good chance of getting 5* Namor to complete the Phoenix Five and this clears up the feeder path for him.

    Well...fingers crossed anyway.

    The point about shards being easier to get for 4s (hence adding levels to an ascended 4-5 is easier than adding levels to a natural 5) is well made. Obviously one's leveling of 4s depends on how hard you play, how well you do, whether you are hoarding etc but I estimate it would take at least 3 months to 370 a new 4 for most players who are trying and typically ranking in the T50/100, also depends on your alliance of course.

    The number of times a character is featured in PVE varies a lot, and has been unpredictable recently. But in general, you will probably see them 3-4 times in PVE before they enter the 2 1/2 - 2 3/4+ year cycle between classics being essential, so that means you get like 1 cover plus 850 shards in progression, plus if you T100 you got one cover plus 100 shards for them before that. So, 2 covers plus 2 more in shards and 150 extra shards. So....16 covers plus 600 shards if you T100 every PVE for a newer 4, featured 4 times. Still a large gap between that and the number needed to ascend.

    It can be months between runs, we last had Dr Bong in November as boss event rewards and he's finally in PVE again next event.

    Obviously this commitment means unless you are spending cash or maybe a t10 player you will never ascend every new 4 based on current reward schedules, certainly not max-max. Maybe if you are a long long time vet with very high rates of churn for pulls from rewards, you could drip enough covers into the pool to have ascended all the releases in a year like 2-3 years later, I dunno how that math would work.

    I think it was in the last what's new, before holiday stuff hit so it got buried? Was something about DNA I think.

    They've now managed to fall behind on their game updates, so the chars are revealed before the clues are out.

    Damage numbers bumped up as well, significantly on the initial hit, smaller on the passive hits.

    The apparent solution was to wait to release R295 for an extra week so now we will get the update and presumed clue before the next new character. I assume.
