[Community] Content Creation
Hey, folks!
This topic is a space for Content Creators to share their new Magic: Puzzle Quest releases. Just released a video on YouTube? A new podcast episode? Fanart, Reels, Tiktok? Let everyone know!
Please don't spam this thread. Post each content only once and, if you make multiple videos a day, for example, edit your post so there's at most one per day. This way every creator has a chance to be seen.

You give in-game resources to some, but not all content creators.
Can you tell us what criteria you use to decide if a particular content creator gets access to in-game items (either pre release or regular) and what effects this may have on the competitive environment you have created?
Do you think it is fair to give some players (and their respective coalitions) an advantage over other players?

We're not allowed to use exclusives outside of training grounds.

@Sarah to be fair, they inherited the content creator relationships that Okty had in place prior to their take over...
...So for the existing support, that was honored on WC's part (which I/we appreciate BTW ) Not something they gave out new.
As to unfair advantage from new exclusives (Cards and walkers) we are given expressed notes. We aren't to use them in coalition play. We can (supposed to) only use them in training grounds or non-coalition Player V. Events.
I can tell you, typically we content creators use them in videos then don't again till after released to the public, and again for sure, not in coalition play.
Hope that makes sense...
All that said, @Magic:PQ Support Team , AWESOME to have this here.. .Thank you!
And I'll be the first shameless person to plug his video here

Our use of exclusives is limited to the training grounds, and at times only story mode. The impact of creators being given exclusives on the competitive environment is very low. Most of the cards are fun cards that enable different in game strategies, but it is rare that an exclusive is meta defining. As we aren’t allowed to use exclusives or new walkers in events until they are available to the public, it doesn’t allow for us to gain an advantage on anyone else that they aren’t able to get themselves in some way, shape, or form. Given how the AI plays decks, the PvE nature of the game, and the division bracketing I don’t think the current competitive environment in the game is all that sweaty, nor does it push players to feel the need to abuse strategies outside of the legacy format. I think legacy is a different discussion, but that doesn’t involve creators.
I think all of us creators would agree that the more creators, the better. Having regular content creators for games helps build hype and highlight different exciting facets of the game for the community. I would love to see more creators for this game. The other main creators that I know of that make videos about mtgpq, would probably say that we all support each other and are excited for each others’ success and growth. For me at least it is all about positivity and fun. That is why I play the game and make content.
I know that for me, I reached out to d3go years ago, and they forwarded me to Hibernum to try to get support for my channel. I spent months building my channel and developing a community presence while also trying to work my way through the communication channels to find someone at the studio who might be interested in the content I was making, and maybe be interesting in supporting the continuation of it. As I have noticed other creators like Goz and Mainloop, I have sent messages to the developers to recommend they take a look at their content so that there would hopefully be more creators building up the game. I’m sure it helped that they were both active members of the community as well who worked hard to build up their own channels and followings before the team noticed what they were doing. I think any dedicated creator who puts forth a quality product that is appropriate for the developers/producers to support has a chance to catch their eye. I personally would love for there to be more of us.
In conclusion I respect the points you are making with your post, but I don’t think that their support of us gives us a competitive edge over other players. Furthermore I think that all of us who are getting exclusives to make content on put in a lot of work, not to get stuff, but to have fun and build something with this community. I don’t feel that we deserve handouts, but they are certainly appreciated and they help give us more things to make regular content on to continue building our channels.

Thanks for adding that perspective @Mainloop25 @gozmaster @Nalthazar
I’m sure I’m not the only one who wondered about it!

Hello, I keep track of coalition event team and player scores. I have several years of data stored and available for anyone to look at. If you ever wanted to see the event leaderboard but couldn't because the event has already ended. If you ever wanted to see the leaderboard with more than 10 coalitions at a time. If you've ever wondered who with be leading in a seasonal leaderboard. Well, look no further, it's all here, free and without ads

I'm also a fan of barchart races and built one to highlight the elite players of the game and their race for perfection. This work is dedicated to the top players of the game who hates dropping matches or objectives and their astounding string of consecutive perfect streaks. Also called a p-bomb if NerdThuggery had his way ;p

I forgot to mention, the actual perfect streaks are actually longer by 1 if I include the Break the Powerstone event that was bugged and had to be reset midway back in April. FCLedZep perfected that and his record streak was actually 39, not 38. Unfortunately, I had to remove the event because the methodology I use to capture scores isn't perfect and can't identify perfect scores with a 100% accuracy if the event is restarted in the middle of the weekend (plus among other things like players leaving immediately after the event ends before I can save scores, but these are minor)
Anyway, don't be mad at me if you're one of those who were shortchanged

Keep up the good work all! I love the content you are creating!

Hey all,
I noticed that this game can have a very steep learning curve and be quite confusing for newer players. As being newer and having some level of success so far, I'd like to share my insight and hopefully help others that are just joining the MTG:PQ game and/or community!
