Magic: Puzzle Quest Sneak Peek: Upcoming In January 2024 - Week 5

(Important note: Anything listed below is subject to change before release. We will try to update any changes in a timely manner, but please keep in mind the info below is not guaranteed.)

Event News:
From this release on, new events will come also with a special version with BONUS REWARDS. Some older events already have special editions (like those used last month, for our Holiversary celebration), but we want to bring it to ALL new events.
Bonus Rewards editions will be used the first time a new event is offered and on other special occasions. Both reward structures are available in the Event Details sub-forum.

Have you forgotten about Colors of Magic? It's one of my favorite events, and it hasn't run in ages. I particularly like the fact that it's one of the few events we had that rotated from Standard into Standard, keeping it fresh, rather than rotating from Standard into Legacy, making it exactly the same as every other Legacy event.

... okay that's not quite true is it, because Colors of Magic has it's own unique ruleset, but I do really appreciate the fact that it rotated from one Standard format to another, and I think more old events should follow suit rather than dropping into Legacy!

@Janosik @Mainloop25 Colors of Magic is, at the moment, out of rotation because it has some issues that have to be fixed before a comeback. We have a plan to tackle these old bugs in parallel to working in new content and issues (some events are already back!) so you'll probably see it back at some point but I don't have a date for it.

I'd love to see Colors of Magic return! Can you also inform us about the bug that is preventing it from running? I haven't seen any issues with it during the last couple of iterations. Something to do with updating it with the current standard sets?

Oh wow interesting. Care to share any details as to what's needing to be fixed?

@Machine @Mainloop25 No, nothing about the current Standard sets. One of the Supports (bottom node) is not working correctly so the costs are not raised when they should (and sometimes not decreasing accordingly, I believe).
There are also some minor issues in some languages but what really threw this event out of rotation was this Support issue. We really don't want to put events out there with misleading objectives text or nodes not working properly.
