Desertion: No Creature on your board [Investigating]

I used Desertion on an opp that had Danitha with mana in their hand.
The Danitha triggered and I searched up a Sleep with the Fishes but the search ability triggered again, so I searched up a Sleep with the Fishes again. However, the Danitha did not stay on my board and went back to the opp graveyard (I confirmed this with my Portal to Phyrexia).
I know the support portion works (I was able to steal their lands and they stuck around on my board).

    I've had this happen multiple times myself, but haven't yet determined why. Sometimes the creature sticks, sometimes it just dies.

    Hey, folks! We're taking a look at it, but since it seems to happen only sometimes, it's a bit tricky to reproduce.

    Can you send us more information about what on the battefield when it happened, frequency of this behaviour or even videos? It'd help A LOT.

    Happens all the time for me, whenever it puts a creature play

    It happens constantly but here are pics. Nothing on the board except Mox Ruby.

    Rakdos is triggering and then retriggering to exile(? ) itself. Spell Queller also seems to be doing this when it is destroyed and doesn't give you the creature copy it should.

    Just found this post, and I can confirm that this still happens as of Jan 2025. It's a real bummer because I rarely spend gold on Puzzle Masters packs and I was excited to get a card that let me steal creatures.

    I've had it happen several times now with different creatures. The creature you stole is shown after casting the card. Then, if the creature has an effect upon entering the battlefield, that effect occurs but the creature is not placed on the battlefield on your side.

    I know I've seen it happen twice when stealing 'Atraxa, Grand Unifier' from Greg on completely separate occasions. I get the cards it fetches, but no Atraxa.

    I also had it happen just now when I stole 'Ojer Pakpatiq, Deepest Epoch'. Which shows that it doesn't just happen with creatures that have an effect upon entering.

    Is there any update on the status of this issue?
