ATV: here we go again...

This is what? The third time in a few weeks? You'll get the usual " no legacy ATV" protestations and the usual "finally!" Appreciations.
Could we at least have a decent discussion (and some conclusions) about this event first? I've been reading the recentt threads about ATV and nothing has changed, so why try again without explanation?

Dev, you may not realize how much chaos you are creating. By changing the event's duration and schedule, you are making things confusing and bringing back the old "quality of life" problem that made many players quit this game for good.

Right now, the final charge is supposed to happen at 5am my time and the event will end at 7am! I definitely won't sign up for this again in the future.

    No devs read this.
They actually have no one dedicated to the forum.
    Waste of time.

I hope they continue to put legacy coalition events,
    Broken mechanic events.
And don't communicate with the base.

    Actually the doing fine.

Literally just changed my mind about ATV in the last few minutes

At first I was interested to see what would happen if it was run, and how well I could perform in it

Now I've just had a crash from playing this old event which hasn't had any testing or maintenance in forever, ruining my position on the leaderboard (probably bumping me down more than one prize bracket, and of course support will only ever bump you up one single prize bracket), and I feel like running it was a mistake.

I hope those who were interested in playing it to see if they were up to the challenge have fun. I don't. If people want to use their old precious Legacy cards like their beloved Part the Waterveil they should be able to do so, but not in a coalition event

And how long are we supposed to play this event?
Isn't maximum score supposed to be 140 ? Event clock says it will last one more day

I’ve played enough of this event. We can end it now, devs. ;-)

My teammate had Part the Waterveil crash the game during this event 🙄

My own crash was caused by Startled Awake...

But, like, don't end it in such a way that people who played all their games already get more points than people who haven't had time to play all their games yet

I shouldn't need to say that but I feel like I do

Running this event after all of the discussions is one part, but letting it run through on a Monday is a very huge setback for a lot of players. And, it doesn't align what they said about revamping old event to mold them into the same template that is used for Standard events (question 11). No coalition event should run through on Monday. Period.

You guys at WebCore insisted for the third week in a row on running this event even after all the requests from different players about not to do it. But that's not all. You also decided to increase the duration of it without properly communicating that super important and key change. That's a very sneaky way of increasing your play time metrics and mess with your consumers quality of life on the game.

I have zero nice words to say about WebCore. All I can say is that I already cancelled my VIP plan and I'm uninstalling the app once the event ends because I don't want to mess with the coalition's score. If I knew beforehand that the event was running until Monday I would have never played it.

Hope WebCore can do a better job in the future to keep the interest of players that still care about the game.

@BongoTheGrey - I’m sorry to hear that you have had such a lousy weekend with the ATV coalition event.

I agree almost 100% with you, but I plan on keep playing and I hope that you will do the same, once you have had a few days to cool down. I think that you are a great asset to the community. Unless I’m not mistaken, your input tends to be of high value. I think that webcore would greatly benefit from you perspectives.

This could be true, although remember they cut the runtime of RotGP, in an equally as unpopular move.

I suppose it's possible that they're trying to create uncertainty in us in a way that keeps us checking the app more often?

I'm struggling to find a more charitable read than that... perhaps they think that changing the end time like this will somehow make these old events fresh? But these changes to event end times do nothing to revitalise the experience of play in these old events. What we need are new events.

I was gonna make my own post about ATV.. but I will piggy back on this.

As a coalition event... terrible and hated by the community (epically with the bleed into monday time change... yuk...)

But.... as an event. IMO one of the best events in the game. Let's face it this game is easy AF. This is the ONE event that can bite ya and steal a win from ya, and that is awesome. It's so chaotic, I love it.

If you want to turn the most hated event into the most LOVED event. Just remove it from the rotation of coalition events and make it a weekday PVP event with 1st place reward a non dupe pack (or something worth it) maybe make the event a l-i-t-t-l-e bit harder cause of the seller reward change and BOOM. Everyone will love the best event that MTGPQ has to offer

I am ok with that as a coalition event, no actually they should make this a coalition event for every weekend. I mean let's make the coalition results also chaotic.

At the end of the day we have so much control on the bottom node results, so i don't see the reason making that a daily event, keep it coalition, this is the best event ever.
