That's the difference between Thor School and Thor Academy. One produce a corpse, the other produces a Corps

I thought long and hard before posting this - surely where her hand sits on the haft depends on what her intentions are.

I mean, sure, if the plan is to whirl it around she'd be better off with the grip you suggest but if the aim is just to generate some magic lightning why not hold it just below the head if that is less unwieldy?

Get a grip - it's not so hard that we can't get to the bottom of it with a bit of effort.

Thr thrust of the argument is not whether it's appropriate for Jane to destroy Norin's black hole - as things stand that's just what she does and no amount of moaning is going to change it.

What we're concerned with in this thread is the optics of her holding Thor's previously shattered weapon in a manner that makes it look like she's more concerned about conserving her arm strength than she is about dishing out a thorough beating.

Personally I disagree - I know Mjolnir has a strap on and in the hands of a powerful swinger is capable of a blow that would make anyone's eye water but that's not Jane's thing - she's the cerebral counterpart to Thor's mighty muscle and such it's more cool head than sweaty grunt.
She's taking the traditional man tool and giving it her own twist - and though it makes others uncomfortable, it's something I can get behind.
