  1. Playing about 100 games of Trick or Treat
  2. Sitting through the Rat Swarm animations in Plague Control:Infestation

    Agreed.
    Those events sucks.

Love the new event, but can animations be looked at? If we have animations off, can we not have those long animations taking up precious time? I am super happy to see the premium packs as rewards and I slogged though myself. Playing in a top 10 team, I will grind when needed, but I agree those animations are brutal.

I agree about the animations, that was pretty grueling to slog through. But the Trick or Treat event? You can get all the regular prizes with 3 games easily, those prizes outclass anything offered in game in recent years except the 30 year anniversary event. Don’t want to grind for additional jewels? That’s fine. Some people were advocating the return of the daily grind from the first years (forgot what it was called), let them have their fun.

All around, fairly impressed with this first attempt.

You're thinking of Quick Battle. Definitely got a vibe of that from playing this. Would actually love a one-day-a-month type of event like this. An occasional grindy event with rewards that compensate you for the time sink would be a nice addition to the game.

Fair enough! I didn't play more than the 2 games myself, but I agree that MTGPQ is a broad game and can easily cater for all tastes!

I think trick or treat was fine. I only played 3 games and got nice rewards. I don't care enough to play hundreds of games for 80 jewels. My time is more valuable than that!

Plague Control on the other hand was a very unpleasant experience. Animations took forever. Most of the play time was just waiting for the animations to be over every single turn. And you could only earn 10 ribbons per match so you had to win 9 to get full rewards. That was a hard pass for me. Played 2 and moved on with my day. I don't have time for that, games are supposed to be fun.
