Predicting A True Quandary

It is only a matter of time before the new original character Quandary makes her way as a playable boss. As she stands right now, she is a riddle boss, one who can only be defeated by clearing objectives instead of actually defeating her. Here are the powers she has right now:

Dispel The Illusion: Match away a countdown tile whose ability description doesn't match with the other countdown tiles.
Track And Destroy: Quandary selects one colored set of tiles to swap; one of these tiles hides her insignia. Match the tile with the insignia before your 10 turns counts down to zero.
Phantasmal Colors: A damage-dealing phase in which the player must match a color opposite to her current form. Correct matches deal damage to Quandary, incorrect matches deal damage to your team, with front-most character getting more.
Puzzle Box: Match all six colors in order based on the poem in her ability description.
What Goes Up: Quandary creates four special puzzle box tiles that climb up the board by one row after three turns and cannot be destroyed. Use careful matching strategies (and Match-4+ maneuvers) to "ground" the special tiles, turning them back into basic tiles.
Breakthrough: Clear the board of all fortified tiles, and beware of the attack tiles. For each attack tile matched, a new one drops from above, dealing increased damage.

The powers she occupies are Purple, Blue and Black. Phantasmal Colors and Breakthrough are the only challenges where she deals damage to your team, the former being the only one that allows for damaging Quandary directly.

If she becomes a real boss character in the future, some of her abilities may be dropped or changed, especially if the developers choose to make her playable. Puzzle Box may be the odd ability out as she "provides" the solution in a form of a poem, with Dispel The Illusion as a possible candidate (though it would be funny to see an actual whale when that particular tile is matched; April Fool us, devs!).

Here are my predictions for a playable or boss-based Quandary:

  • General: Because she has two sets of abilities, she may work in a way like Legion. One set of moves when she has 14 AP or less in a color, another set upon reaching 15 AP.
  • Phantasmal Colors survives. A countdown tile where she is immune to damage for a few turns based on the color she takes the form of, dealing reflect damage to the enemy team instead when matching the wrong color. A right color match deals damage to Quandary. Removing this tile deals damage to neither team, but ends the enchantment.
  • Breakthrough gets a mod. As long as a fortified tile is on the board, an attack tile will drop with every match. When all fortified tiles are gone, no more attack tiles may drop. Threshold of fortified tiles may start at two or three.
  • Track And Destroy will introduce a new tile type: a countdown trap tile. She chooses the color with the most abundance on the board, then swaps with other colored tiles on the board, dealing match damage in the process. Enemy team matches, Quandary takes damage and is stunned for a turn. Quandary matches, damage to enemy team. If countdown trap tile goes off, damage to enemy team is doubled.

If it were to happen, what do you think we will get with a fully playable Quandary? Post your thoughts of the new boss and predict her possible abilities.

Is it too late to just have a run of Sinister Six instead for Spider-Anniversary?

    Yes.
We will have a weird random boss event with weird rules.
And it will repeated for worse rewards.
    You know it.
