Pull 10x option no longer available for mini vault

I did the pull 10 option yesterday, and also got an additional pull for it from a token in the anniversary vault. Since there are only 9 things left in the vault I no longer have the option to pull 10. Is there any way to get a special pull 9 or something?

Nope. All vaults work that way.

Yeah, that is just an unfortunate situation for how all vaults are designed. You will now have to pull singles if you want more. I would suggest, once the vault resets, hold all of you additional single tokens until the final vault / day. Or only use them if you've stockpiled 10.

    I'm only spending on 10Xs.
My singles earned from the Anniv Vault will sit dormant until I have ten of them.

Or, if you have the HP to spend, save them until after the last vault ends and do another set of pulls from the expired vault for more rewards

Expired pulls are typically less valuable than live pulls because the vault will reset after each pull when expired. But everything in this vault is good, so buying 10 packs live and saving all tokens for later is probably the best option.

This depends on your perspective! I love expired vault tokens, because if you're lucky, you have a chance of pulling the best rewards several times in a row without resetting.

I just can't imagine choosing to play such an RNG-heavy game and NOT enjoying the RNG part of it. I'd have quit the first day!

To each their own of course, but i feel like more than half of the content of this board is about minimizing the effect of the RNG on roster progression. Can it really be surprising to you, bucket, that many people want to reduce randomness from rewards?

I mean, yes? It's weird behavior -- you're permanently in conflict with the major mechanic of the game. Why not just play any of the tens of thousands of other games that don't feature, like, 85% random rewards? It'd be like someone who hates fighting games choosing to play Street Fighter because they like the cutscenes.

It's extra weird now because I don't think RNG based lootbox games are even a thing anymore. For awhile they were everywhere and now it seems like the industry has moved on, most likely because RNG rewards just aren't very popular.

Nope, gambling remains super popular. But lootboxes have mostly been shutdown as a result of legal action (largely in europe). There are relatively few games don't have microtransactions nowadays, even if they don't have loot boxes.

And gacha games are still profitable too, for the early entrants. There just arent a lot of followup entrants now because jumping into a saturated live service market is gard. The games take up tons of time and there are only so any people who want to play this type of game. Imagine trying to do this game and genshin impact and having a life.

Did you search for gacha games and loot boxes in the games store?
Because I can't find a single game not being like those.
Genshin impact, diablo immortal, star war galaxy of heroes, even Marvel snap.
In all of these games there are opinions complaining about strong monetisation and p2w.
And many of them are X top revenue in their category.

Are you taking to me or bucket? I agree that many games in the applr/play store are built on freemium models. There is more space in the mobile game market than in console for live service because there are just so many more smart phones. But fundamentally the problem with live service games is that they rely on making players trade money for time/hassle. And there are only so many gamers willing/able to do so.

Once that demographic has found their game or two, subsequent entrants will struggle. There are tons of genshin impact clones, but few that make 1/50th the money (just like wow or destiny in the pc/console space).

This has been said before, but I’ll say it again: This game is a hobby for many people, so they are willing to spend significant money on this hobby; that’s why this game model works. But many other people think it’s ridiculous to spend money on something that is technically free. Both points are valid.

If you enjoy playing this game without spending, then great. If you enjoy playing this game with spending, that’s fine too. I think the spenders would not enjoy the game as much if they didn’t spend, so that’s why they do it.

Of course, the reality is that everyone is somewhere in between, either spending nothing or $20,000 a year.

EDIT: now someone is going to say they know someone that spends more than $20K a year, but that’s not the point.

Well my point is that if I want to download a game for my phone (on android), practically I only have 3 options:
-To buy a "finished " game (final fantasy vii, kingdom rush titles)

    • To play a "free" game with adds and microtransactions (candy crush, homescapes, monopoly go, trivia deluxe)
    • To play a gacha or looting boxes game.

And of course the final option always seems more appealing and exciting.

I know it's not the point, but I have known several spenders of that level or higher over the years -- alliancemates mostly. I'm aware of a few others but can't verify their spending.

The MPQ whale actually learned how to play in our alliance (honestly, we did a pretty bad job of teaching him, he was way too friendly). He's almost singlehandedly responsible for a few of us covering Surfer, OML, and Phoenix -- he'd drop $1000 on stark salaries in one sitting, several times a week.

Anyway they typically have a few things in common: they're very wealthy, obviously. Also they tend to be casino gambling whales too, highly competitive in general, and big spenders on other sorts of luxury goods.
