Is it worth spending my hoard on the fan favorites store?

I've been saving up my legendary tokens and CP for the latest legends store when I'm ready to transition to 5* land. I currently have 89 tokens saved and 2061 CP. The fan favorites store seems really strong with okoye, shang chi, and Mighty Thor. Should I spend my CP on the store or keep hoarding?

It's a very good store, so cp spent there are very unlikely to set you back at all in the long run.

I would pull at least until you have all 3 covered and ready to champ. Okoye and SC in particular benefit significantly from extra levels too.

Edit. You likely cannot cover all 3 with only 2k iso. I would still suggest that it's a worthwhile use of cp. I very much doubt a better store will come along for someone looking to do a 5* transition in the next year (perhaps equally as good, but very hard to think of an outright better mix of characters). And you have almost a month to earn/spend more cp for this store.

I just pulled 40+ times from the Fan Favourites and got 3 5*s (one of each). Hope RNG treats you better if you go for it!

I have about 5000 CP I was going to pair with my 120 LL tokens to max some 5 stars. Anyone have the maths to determine if that's enough CP to max out the three 5 stars in the fan faves store?

5000 CP should net you 30 covers or 10 for each one on average. If you set your shard heroes to just those 3 characters you should also net just over 2 more covers. So figure ~11 covers each. That's not enough unless you already have at least 2 in each of them.

5k cp is 200 pulls. That will get you just shy of fully covering a set of 3x 5* characters (assuming you get the 2 covers from alliance events for each character). Combined with pve progression rewards if you play CL10, you should be able to get 3x 5* champs from just those cp.

Edit: oops. You will use the LTs before you get to the cp. So I would say if you assume 3 covers from pve for each character you can plan to spend all your tokens and about 1k of your cp hoard to get all 3 characrers in the pool to level 450-452.

So I decided to go ahead and pull. Ended up with 8 Thor covers, 9 okoye covers, and fully covered Shang chi thanks to favorite shards and cover pulls. Also had to use all my legendary tokens in order to get enough shards to cover Shang Chi but it was worth it imo

Congrats. You should have enough covers on Thor and Okoye to make use of them if you got the right covers. Plus you may still get lucky in the anniversary vault and draw another cover for each of them (or more if you empty the vault entirely and start on it a 2nd time).

Considering the value of these 5 stars (and the fact that I have a few covers split between them), I may go ahead and pull before the vault ends. I'll have to dump covers for the ~50 4 stars I have, but I suspect it will be worth it.

I assume you mean for the ~50 4* s that you don't yet have? In that vase wait a few weeks and pull from the anniversary and essential vaults. You should be able to collect at least a handful of new roster slots before you give yourself a glut of expiring 4* covers.

As for the value of this store, SC + an under covered, unleveled fosthor will let you easily play cl10. That pair can clear all but a very small group of challenge nodes with impunity, even at level 650. If being able to do that will significantly improve your regular PVE reward stream then it is almost certainly worth selling a few 4* covers (or even a few dozen).

Yep, that's exactly what I meant! I'm thinking I'll wait to see who the anniversary characters are - and if they don't blow my mind, I'll just pull from the favorites store. I figure losing ~80-100 4 star covers is worth gaining workable versions of some meta 5 stars.

This is a good trio to jump to 5* land with. Okoye is a great damage accelerator that supports alot of play combos. mthor is the best board shaker, self starter right now. And SC will shine with the right partners.

Any top 10 and most top 5 lists will include all 3 chars.

You somehow managed to undersell SC by a lot in your very complimentary post. He is the best single target damage output in the game, allows for infinite turns, plays nice with many partners at all tiers, and even true heals. He is the perfect transition character. Plus fosthor is among his very best 5* partners.

Clearly you forgot to make the appropriate sacrifices in advance to appease the gods. Perhaps you can slaughter a chicken or even a goat before opening your next hoard? (And don't forget the libations too!)

Don’t feel upset and stop pulling, many a times we all have seen a bunch of five star covers in tandem after a dry spell ;hoard another 25 tokens and see u may get five or more five stars even kindly try

Is the fan fave vault going to change after a few days like I think it did last year? ( not certain on that but remember something like that happening)
