    If we're doing legacy pvp why not bring back Hour of Devastation!? I'm half joking but if we're opening this floodgate back up then why not

    Seriously though, we have a thread called "omniscience is ruining the game" so that says something about the balance in legacy.

    I'm very excited for the chance to try out some old PVP Coalition events inside the new standard. Will it be a bloodbath? Absolutely. Will people complain about missed objectives? Yes.

    But will it absolutely test each player to put their best foot forward and protect against any conceivable combination? YES! Will it widen the gap between the top 1-2 and top 10? Perhaps even the top 25? Lets hope so. I hope that this provides the opprotunity to not lose 2 points on a single objective and end up in +500th place.

    I welcome the challenge and am excited for something new.

    Very curious about ATV in current Standard so I'm looking forward to it. Don't really understand why people mention Legacy here, but wonder if we're getting Dragon War for current Standard too.

    Well ATV is would typically a legacy event now seeing that the sets that it was introduced with have rotated into legacy. The schedule does say that it's standard but that could be a misprint. Honestly, we won't know for sure until someone gives confirmation.

    Bladecoil decks are just going to take people apart in the bottom node.

    Last time around we at least had Ruinous Ultimatum to help reset Greg after his combo deck went nuts... and Song of Creation combo decks didn't make us discard our hands like Bladecoil does.

    Hey, you don't suppose Bladecoil Serpent is unbalanced, do you?

    This honestly feels like Oktagon handed the new devs a spreadsheet with all the different coalition events, they saw it and just picked the first one at the top. And since it was alphabetically ordered we are now playing A Timeless Voyage :D

    However, if that's not the case and they actually want us to play that event again I just have 3 questions.

    1- Would it follow the new nodes recharge time system where we just have one big recharge and we never lose nodes no matter when we join the event? Or will it have the old one that A Timeless Voyage had back when it was in Standard?

    2- Are the devs updating the rewards? And if so, which packs are we getting by playing it? I really don't want to play a Standard event and get old M21 packs as a reward.

    3- Are any other old Legacy events going to be brought back from the dead and into the Standard rotation? If so, we also need you to answer questions 1 and 2 regarding those events. An official announcement explaining which events are getting that treatment would be nice.

    I just checked the sneak peak anouncement and it now says that the coalition event will be Legacy :D

    Yes please, finally something interesting instead of a 100th iteration of those same old Standard events, happy to take some serious beating from Greg for the thrill. "The less likely the victory, the more memorable the success", all that.
    @Julie71, why is that even a question? Let's please keep in mind the new devs are hopefully learning what we, their players, prefer, so let's maybe pretend for once we're not a bunch of absolute casuals and are serious about the competitive aspect of the game :)

    I'd rather not play A Timeless Voyage this weekend. Lately they seem to be recycling old events without making any changes to them. At minimum they should be updating the charge schedules to the more player friendly standards of the newer events. With them not even making that minimal change it gives me the impression that they're not putting much thought into if they're actually making things better or just different. Playing older legacy events that haven't run in a while is fun for a little while because of variety but the novelty of doing events with too many charges like Emrakul's Corruption or Trial of Ambition with each having 32 total charges that aren't even conveniently scheduled wears off fast. I'd much rather they take a little bit of time fixing the things about them that were annoying before bringing them back. So no if they're just recycling ATV with no updates I'd rather stick with the events we've been playing and give them a little take to make updates to them first. If they absolutely insist on running ATV I'd definitely prefer it to be standard and not legacy.

    I think that the latest trend of having either a Standard PvP or a Legacy PvE is the right track. The Legacy PvP would not be too different from TotP.

    It's been ages since we last played Battle of Four Tribes tho, I wouldn't mind seeing that event again.

    @Vanadis why ask the question simple to reengage the players back to the forum. most of us chat on discord. but the new Devs cant see what we want. so what better way for them to hear us then here. I hope that helps. its not that I want or don't want any event. i purposely quit playing coalition events so I can remain nuetral.
