    I used to track affiliations, but it got incredibly difficult because the devs would change them and introduce new ones with no announcement. Lately almost every new support has come with a new affiliation tag. The only way to be 100% sure you're current is to view each character cover every day for changes--and there are now 308 characters in the game, and at the time I stopped counting, 58 different unique affiliations (there are now more). They should make this easier.

    One such tool is Labyrinth, which allows you to fill multiple maps with characters, places and objects, link them together and write notes for each one. It also has a time keeping tool and plugins for calculating relationships. And for relaxation I think this project will do. Of course it may not suit everyone. Although the program was originally designed for role-playing games, it could potentially be adapted to track the attachments of game characters.
