Mix Up the PvP Schedule Time Slots

Why does every week of MPQ look the same? Each events lasts 2.5 days, but they all start and end at the same times. The first one ends Wednesday at noon, the second ends Friday at midnight, and the last ends Sunday at midnight (forgive me if I missed one). Why can't we mix it up? Let's occasionally have an event end on a Tuesday, or a Thursday, or any other time than the same old same old PvP schedule. Has any one else grown tired of this monotony?

  • I prefer the routine, actually. It allows me to plan for some good MPQ time and knowing I could actually complete.

If an event is shifted to end, say, Thursday night I'd have to miss that one as I out board gaming that night.

I'm sure the counterargument is from people who have plans Weds nights (or are from the EU), but the schedule being rigid allows people to plan. Predictability is probably more important to them right now. I think the long-term solution to this is that the servers get large enough they can start dedicating shards to EU players specifically and split them out.

EU players pretty much get **** at all hours of the day during MPQ. Well except maybe the Noon EST end times. There has to be some way to accommodate them, at least in terms of PvP. Something like holding the same event at a different time during the day but only being able to enter one. Though that may cause more server problems.
  • Adding eight hours (indeed; even four, or six) to the end of SOME events would really help some other players worldwide as opposed to the exclusively NA-friendly times.
  • This is a problem for EU players. There has been countless suggestions about this in the related subforum, other posts/threads about it in this subforum but apparently devs don't care about EU players at all. They are probably content with EU players shielding before they go to sleep.
  • Id would rather the dev time be spend fixing, finalizing and solidifying the calvinball pve mechanics and the MMR tinnykitty storm that the PvP hellscape has become than spending time developing a system to better accommodate timezones. The PvP end times are the only consistent thing in the game, please don't ask them to destabilize it.

Shields are mandatory to place well in pvp anyways.

I'm guessing you are not in EU.

Nope but the Wednesday end time is squarely in the middle of the work day and I go out every Friday night so I wouldn't say I have perfect end times, which only leaves Sundays. If I could adjust them I would.

But the issues at hand are more important that time zone differentials. If playing the last 2 hours of every PvE wasn't make or break, or PvP wasn't some MMR circle jerk where no one actually gains any points, would the end times matter as much? Probably not.
