Not sure how PV can trigger its ability if the damage is prevented? Wouldn't an creature with lifelink that is blocking or blocked by PV then trigger lifelink if there is damage? Both creature have prevent damage but somehow PV still triggers with no damage dealt.

    @Dragon68 - can you remember how much damage was dealt when PV triggered? According to the wiki, prevent damage reduces combat damage to zero, so technically damage is being dealt however zero damage is not really intuitive for activating PV text.
    It could just be a timing issue, so prevent damage is applied after triggering PV ability.

    It was whatever my creatures were doing to it I believe. I understand trample damage can get through but PV was blocking and basically reflecting damage back to me. It should be worded that way.

    It's just badly written. It should read something like "the amount of damage this creature would take"
