Skinnerware...

A depressing subject, but one that I think merits some discussion.

This game has always been skinnerware, let's not forget that. However, lately, I think it has become extreme. Minimal effort put into development, with the game designed to extract the most time, money, or both from the player base. Sneaky traps and event entry fees that increase the risk of rewards lost.

Few QOL requests honored, and fewer promises kept. A near-total guarantee that if something gives too many rewards, it won't last long (the addition of rares to the BftA pool is a good example, thus severely limiting orbs gained).

We've lost some great players to the time-suck that the game requires just to keep up. Can't blame anyone for choosing family and real life over it, but really, there should be a middle ground. For me, it becomes all or nothing- I'm either playing far too much, or not at all.

Richard Garfield being against skinnerware has no effect here. I suppose WoTC hasn't been holding up the old values for a while. It just blows my mind- this corruption to the core values of MtG continues unabated here in PQ.

I didn’t know what Skinnerware is, so I searched the term and found this manifesto skinnerware (it is on Facebook for those not wanting to use that product).
