Revolving Planeswalk Nursery of the Consonant - objective not counting [Investigating]

I dealt 21 damage to a creature using Tandem Takedown and another 14 damage using Brokers Charm but none of this counted towards the objective “ Deal 8 or more total damage to creatures during a single turn.”
This is on the Green node.

This is very annoying. I had the same, also with Brokers Charm, but I also did at least 8 damage by one of the triggers of All Will Be One. That one also didn't count. I tried a "fight" spell and that seems to count.

This is a known bug, it's been like this for a while. Generally speaking if you deal damage to a creature with a creature, the objective should count up, so combat damage will work (I use the Nissa, Ascended Animist Vanguard for this node), but damage dealt by spells will not work.

I'm surprised to hear that the 'fight' effect worked, but I suppose that's damage to a creature with a creature.

I haven't tested what happens if the effect is a direct damage effect caused by a creature (such as with Reclusive Artificer or Huntmaster of the Fells). Come to think of it I don't know if supports that deal damage work either (like Ghiraphur Aether Grid or Demonic Pact)
