Endless Detour targeting issues [Investigating]

I'm having problems sometimes targeting Endless Detour, related to Ward/Hexproof

In one game, My opponent had a Gaea's Revenge in play, which has Hexproof. Naturally, Hexproof prevented me from targeting the GR. But then when I disabled the creature with Scheming Fence, I was still unable to target the GR with Endless Detour.

In another game, my opponent had Graveyard Trespasser in play. I discarded a card to pay for the Ward cost of the Graveyard Trespasser, but I was still unable to target the creature with my Endless Detour.

Also, please could you fix this part of the card, this bug is a year old now:

Also, I didn't seem to be able to target a Phyrexian Missionary which had Katilda's Rising Dawn cast on it. Katilda's Rising Dawn gives Protection from Black and from Red, but Endless Detour is neither of of those colors.
