New Phone, now can't access my old account

I just had to get a new phone (Android to Android) and I had previously linked my account to my Facebook on my old phone. I installed Facebook on my new phone, logged in on both the Facebook app and one of the browsers, but when I installed the Marvel Puzzle Quest app my old account information was not brought up. I put in two tech support tickets (one to each D3 email) and even tried calling their phone support. The phone support said I'd have to wait for the email support.

Does anyone have any tips or on how to get this working? I was at like 160 days played and I'm afraid my alliance is going to drop me because there no way for me to tell them what's going on. Not to mention I'm missing on the events and losing out on Season 2 points.

You mentioned you logged into the Facebook app and website, but you did not say you logged in to Facebook from MPQ. Not trying to troll, but did you try that first?

Are you sure you logged in to the correct Facebook account? I've created a games only Facebook account so I don't spam relatives. Don't know if that's your case.

Do you still have access to your old phone? Can you try to log in to G+ on your old device first and then on your new one?

If none of that works, email support will be your only option.
  • How do I log in to Facebook from MPQ? The only option I see in the options menu is to "Save backup using Facbook". I don't see any "Login to Facebook" options. I was afraid that if I click the "Save backup using Facebook" link that I would overwrite my old data with the new data from the restarted game.

I know my old account was definitely linked to my Facebook because when I would win rewards it would ask me to share with my friends and list people from my Facebook list.

The old phone died so i'm unable to try the G+ option.
  • SUCCESS!

So for anyone reading this later and looking for the answer: Click on "Save backup using Facebook". It will ask if you want to login to Facebook, and the bring up a prompt that says something like "You can only have one save back up associated with Facebook, would you like to overwrite the local data with your last Facebook save". Click OK and it will bring back your old games information!

I was scared I would lose my old save by pressing that link, but I found an old post on here finally that said it was OK to do that.

    Ah. Good news!

You can go ahead and use the "Save backup using Facebook button." You can also ignore the warning pop-up that shows up next. You wont lose your old data.

You are not the only user who has been confused by the wording on the button. Like this feller from a couple weeks back:

I bit the bullet and did it and thankfully it worked as desired. I think the confusing part was them saying "You can only save 1 game to facebook do you want to overwrite your CURRENT game data". To me "current game data" meant the game I was currently playing for months but I think they meant to say NEW GAME data. With New Game data being the game you "started" 30 seconds ago when the app first loaded. To be clear they should have said "Do you want to overwrite your brand new game data with the existing data you have saved on facebook?" Would have saved me a lot of stress!
