High Evolutionary “unnatural selection” not triggering 5* Kitty’s Red

Was playing the Boss event. Placed a “Practiced Offense” tile, then Kitty took damage from HE’s “Unnatural Selection”; however, no attack tiles were spawned. Bug?

Note: could not immediately replicate as the PO tile was matched away and the battle ended before I could set up the circumstances again.
