Jeffrey white tiles

Jeffrey's tiles show with a bright white icon similar to friendly SAP tiles, whereas every other character in the game has a dull grey tile. It is very off putting when scanning the board and quite jarring to the senses.
Is this intentional? Or a bug?
If it is intentional, just a big old question mark as to why? If it is a bug then add it to the pile

    Yeah it's awful in the current 5* PvP where he literally tanks every color but 1 over my 4*s I am using with him. It takes forever to figure out where the strike tiles are that Grocket/Polaris are making and I keep matching his Fin's thinking I am matching strikes and wondering why Polaris isn't doing her thing.

    I've been playing this game since launch just about and I have no idea what SAP stands for :(
