The "Meeting" - REBOOT

Due to the recent events from MPQ this year, some veteran players have inquired about bringing back the “Meeting” stories. Looking back, I cannot believe this was way back in 2018! Time flies as I made these during the release of 3/5 Gambit. Below is the link if you are curious or would like a reminder:

I have been pondering this and I thought of some cool ideas while playing this “wonderful” 7-day event. Hopefully the new team has more of a sense of humor than the last team, but I do want to point out that this is all in good fun. I thought the new team did a great job last year, which is why I came out of retirement in the first place. I personally think the huge Android issue in December is the main cause for all the delays and brokenness (I guess that is a word).

The events depicted in this forum post are fictitious. These events are loosely based on the forum Player’s perception of the game and are for entertainment purposes only. Director: Good Morning everyone. I hope you had a nice weekend. I’d like a status on the feedback from the big return of the 7-day event
Analyst 1: Not good sir. Metrics show playing time have dropped, and social media is showing negative response by the player-base
Director: How is that possible? We have metrics showing players wanted 7-day events!
Player: Actually, we just wanted more events so we’re not playing The Hunt every other week.
Director: Excuse me. Who are you?
Community Manager: This is an actual Player. I noticed players from the Forum are upset they do not hear from your team enough, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a player come to our meeting!
Player: I am very excited to meet all of you. Your team did a great job last year. I speak for many players when I say I loved Shardmas
CFO: Shardmas? Sounds like we lost money
Player: I’d actually argue more players were inclined to spend more money. The more good things your team does, the more the player-base is willing to spend. However, right now this 7-day event is a mess
Director: We rolled out this event perfectly. I had my top Developer on the assignment!
Developer 3: Sorry sir, I was like busy and stuff, so I pushed the release button. The event cannot be much different than the others, beside more days
Player: Actually, a lot has changed since EOTS last ran with the most significant addition being SCL10
Director: Who assigned this Developer to work on EOTS’s event?
Developer 1: I did. I thought SCL10 was around back then, and we didn’t have enough time to test it because we have other huge projects, like the improvement of Supports!
Player: What improvement? I saw the brief announcement of brand-new Supports, but I do not see anything different in the game
Developer 1: Get him the new Supports screen!
Developer 2: ::Shows phone to Player:: Here it is sir! Supports!
Player: What the heck am I looking at? When does the new Supports happen in the game?
Developer 1: Now. You’re looking at now, sir. Everything new about supports is happening now
Player: When will the new Supports be now?
Developer 2: We can’t. We just rolled it out.
Player: When?
Developer 2: Just now
Player: When will new be now?
Developer 1: Soon!
Player: ….OK. Can we talk about Chasm?
Director: No.
Player: How about Kang?
Director: Please escort this player out
Community Manager: I will walk you out

::Community Manager exits with Player::
Player: I’m sorry this could not work out. Btw, what is your name?
Community Manager: Maybe next time, and it’s Victor..
Player: Hmm..

::Back in the meeting::
Director: Are they gone?
Analyst 1: ::Looks at the camera:: The player just exited the building
Director: Good. I was afraid he was onto us
::Team unveils their true identity::
Director - Kang (Immortus): We cannot let the Player-base know that we sent The Conquer away to be trapped in MPQ
Developer 1 - Kang (Rama-Tut): Are we sure this will work this time?
Analyst 1 - Kang (Scarlet Centurion): It is the perfect plan! There are no actual heroes or puny ants in this Universe

::Screen zooms out showing a room full of Kangs laughing loudly!::

This is pretty awesome, and the Spaceballs ref is just :chefs kiss:. I certainly chuckled more than once and appreciate you and this sort of sense of humor!

Not sure if it's of interest, but here is some insider info on some of the things you brought up:

• The team that fixed the Android issues is different than the content team, so there was no impact there on EotS.
• EotS...we'll do better next time and will make up for this time.
• The tiny Supports announcement was probably a touch too early, but do keep your eyes peeled...something exciting coming this month!
